Relax in easy comfort

The Modern is a comfortable place to land at the end of the day. The Oceanview suite was perfect as it allowed a beautiful view of the sailboats docked outside the window and a view of the lagoon and beach. The short fireworks display on Friday nights were a treat we could take in from the balcony without fighting the crowds on the beachfront. The room was bright and inviting. The king size bed was firm and heavenly. The location on the north end of Waikiki was convenient, but mostly out of all the heaviest traffic. Walking access to neighboring hotels and amenities made the stay simply ideal.

Location was great, not in the busy Waikiki area, we were happy with this as we wanted a relaxing holiday. Only negative were the lifts, the noise that vibrated through the rooms. Lots of guests said the same thing when we talked to them. Noisiest lifts I have ever encountered in a hotel. Not good at night when you are wanting to sleep

Friendly staff. Great location. Near a small beach/lagoon, but a quick walk to a board walk and wider beach. Also short walk to volleyball sand court. If you have to go to the Hawaii Convention Center, it is about a 15 minute easy walk. The hotel is really nice with a restaurant, pools, gym, and lounge areas. The room has nice balconies and is spacious. Nice view of the beach and the harbor. Great location to ABC cornerstores if you need things.

Very nice property, very convenient to get places. The food and bar staff were friendly. Pool crowded which is a plus as everyone wanted to be there. Nice view of marina
