Excellent location within few minutes from museums, restaurants, bus stop that takes you to the airport, shopping. We were able to walk everywhere including Amsterdam central. Beautiful historical building, clean room, nice size bathroom, very warm room which was important for January stay. Nice breakfast included with our stay, friendly staff, they even have umbrellas for these rainy days, you can also rent bikes at the hotel for entire day but we didn't get a chance to try it. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Hotel Aalders is the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam! Situated in the museum district, it is an easy walk to major museums, parks, shopping and transportation. The area is quiet and upscale. The hotel is beautiful, the staff amazing, and our room had everything we needed. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Amsterdam!

We’ll run hotel in a wonderful area with luxury shops, a beautiful park and museums near by. The hotel is close to the tram and bus stops. Only negative is the hotel does not have air conditioning. We did open windows at night which kept the room cool.

Overall, we really liked the Hotel Aalders. The location was great -- on a nice quiet street, yet just a couple blocks from the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, and an easy walk from Leidseplein with abundant restaurant and night life opportunities. Also, several tram and bus lines stop just a block away. The hotel is in an older building, but is charming and is clean and well maintained. And, fortunately, it has an elevator, unlike some older hotels in Amsterdam. The breakfast is decent. Our room (deluxe comfort) was comfortable and big enough for our purposes. Only real complaint was the lack of an in-room refrigerator, so we couldn't store snacks or left-overs, or buy our own cold drinks from the store. That may have been their point, because they sell drinks downstairs in their "honesty bar." Those items were not unreasonably priced, but the selection is limited. I think it would also be good if they updated their rooms with modern key cards, but we got used to using the old fashioned key and leaving it at the desk when we went out. It's kind of an expensive place, but Amsterdam hotels are just plain expensive, so relative to other places we might have booked, it was a good value.

A very nice small hotel

The neighborhood is quiet. The hotel is quiet. Our room was across from breakfast area and never heard a thing. It is a beautiful old house and the staff was always smiling and helpful. Our room was small but so are most of Europe’s hotels I’ve seen. The location is great. Don’t miss the Burger Room two blocks away. It is great as well.

L’hôtel est situé dans un rue au calme à proximité des grands musées de la ville et du tram. Il est aussi à proximité d’un grand parc. Le personnel est très gentil. Le petit déjeuner est bon mais peu varié donc au bout d’une semaine on s’en lasse un peu.

Your staff member John who helped at Breakfast is a very jolly and helpful person. The small room is very small. The room gets very warm at night although the fan helps. Otherwise the hotel met our expectations, thank you.
