Apart from the airport hotel, this was the first of the hotels we booked in New Zealand and it set the bar. The room was huge with a kitchen, dining table, enormous tv with netflix and disney and a jacussi bath. We were welcomed with a box of chocolates by a very nice young lady. We stayed over Christmas and the motel was about a 20 mins walk from the centre of Christchurch

The photos provided, other reviews, price and ratings made us think it was a high category place when in fact it is a quite regular one. The room was clean (and they came in to tidy up every day during our 4 day stay), it has everything, just not as nice and new as the photos show.

Check in staff and housekeeping were extremely nice. The hotel seems to have made some great updates (nice furniture and new carpeting). We appreciated access to a washer and dryer.
