So, i booked this hotel as a surprise for my partner. We arrived to what looked like our hotel from the pictures. The lights were off, it was very dim. The guy behind the desk had an unironed creased shirt on, We checked in after him telling us that we wasn't on the booking list. we went to our room, to find the shower handing off and it being boiling! the room was filthy and falling apart. the shower basin has "urine" at the bottom. it was also not the room i booked. i went downstairs and explained what the room looked like. he then took us to another room and said we had been "upgraded" it was three single beds in a room.. again, not the room i booked. I went back down to tell him again, this was not the room i booked. I was finally shown the correct room, however the balcony access which i asked for was locked and you couldn't gain access due to there being an "accident" at the hotel. the rooms are unlocked by a manual key which you have to leave at the desk when leaving the hotel. This i found very odd. When we arrived back at the hotel after our time out and to get changed before the evening. The hotel bar that was advised, didn't exist. so we went out. When returning to the hotel, we gave our room number over to a different concierge, he just handed over the key, He didn't ask for ID or room card which has room number on. ANYBODY could have gained access to our room! This was totally embarrassing for me, as this was a surprise.
