On checking in we found a mouse on the bed.
We reported it and it took 20 mins to get support with removing it, with 4 members of staff present it took us to do most the work in removing it. No apologies, though they did change the bedsheets.
We found mouse droppings on the bed coverings and behind the wardrobe, so looks like it had been there a while.
We asked to be changed rooms, which was refused as apparently fully booked.
Without the mouse experience and poor customer service the hotel would have been a nice oasis in a rough part of Johannesburg. It does have a nice heated outside pool.
If I had been paying 500 Rand, i would have been disappointed but not left a poor review, but at over 2000 Rand and apparently 4 star, I found the staff response poor.
