This place is great, it was our first time staying at a ryokan. The staff’s hospitality and service is 10/10. The futons were very soft and comfy. A lot of space in the room. Only downside for us was it’s kinda far from the station so just a lot of walking. Will recommend!

This is such a lovely hotel, it being clean and staff are friendly. We were completely immersed into the Japanese culture where we were offered the typical Kyoto breakfast (there is a small fee to pay for breakfast ) and experienced the tea ceremony. The hotel also offer free 2h walking tour and a 30 min Koto performance.

Norma, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

This was a very special stay for us. Anyone going to Japan should spend some time at a Ryokan. This one in particular was spectacular. You’re greeted with a breath-taking view of the garden when walking in, the staff were all very friendly and spoke great English. The western and Japanese breakfasts were both delicious. The tea ceremony was in particular very special for my wife and I. I was surprised how tranquil the ryokan is even though it’s sort of in the heart of Kyoto. There’s great shopping and tons of places to eat near by. The shopping mall near by is less than 5 mins walk and has things like sushi, ramen, second

The staff was very kind and happy to help in any way. They have activities at the Ryokan for guests, we participated in the tea ceremony and the calligraphy class which were both wonderful experiences. We would love to come back and stay for more than one night.
