I had to cancel my reservation due to illness. I learned a tough lesson after not reading the fine print when I made my booking. Places like this (as opposed to a hotel) do not issue any refund if you cancel. The property owner asked the management company to make an exception and they refunded me 50% which I greatly appreciate!
