Marakame is beautiful! The staff is super helpful with whatever you need. It's only ~10 mins walk to the beach and nice that it's away from the noise of the main street in San Pancho.

Loved my stay at Marakame. The room was big and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. Housekeeping did a great job and everything was very clean. The front desk staff we are all incredible and super accommodating. I loved the pool and the hotel overall had a chill vibe. I also really liked the location as it was in a quiet area but not a far walk to everything. Would highly recommend.

Almost new hotel. Rooms are spacious and super clean with comfortable beds, refrigerator, coffee maker and fast internet throughout the property. Near the hospital and best ATM in town. Front desk hostess/ manager Natalia was welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and attentive to needs.

Safety and functionality over road attentive staff and attractive surroundings, Safety: My main stairs had no guardrail to hold on to. The entrance to swimming pool was steps up and then a few steps down into the pool with nothing to hold on to. It is an accident waiting to happen. Functionality: large room attractively decorated, but no place to put my suitcase, nor my clothes. And there was not even a small desk and chair for my laptop. It is a new hotel and you can probably get a good rate if I what I mentioned isn't important to you.

Firstly, only on street parking (no guest parking) we had to park two blocks away. Very loud in the room we booked which faced the street. Zero facilities. No lift, no porter for our heavy luggage. They had workers in sanding the walls in what should be the bar area (no food or drink options on sight). The noise was so annoying while trying to relax by the pool, we ended up going to our room to get away from it. The pool only gets half sun, so if the 5 loungers are taken, you’re out of luck for sun. No TV, and rooms are very basic. Don't expect any spoons, cutlery, dishcloths, anything to make the stay more comfortable. Our bathroom was tiny with stains on the wall next to the toilet. But the very worst thing was pulling the duvet back to get into bed, only to find the sheets had not been changed. I saw eyelashes, hair and the sheets were creased. I would not stay here again for love or money. There are much nicer places in San Pancho imo. Very disappointing indeed with my choice. We were happy to leave.

The location is actually noisy with loud cars constantly passing by there. There are also sewage problems coming from the hotel and the lack of infrastructure to support the number of tourists that visit the town. The first few days there was a terrible sewer smell on the street outside the hotel, though inside you could not smell it. The pool was small but nice however because of how its located it dosent get much sun except for the a little in a certain area during the morning time. There’s a bar but without any drinks or food (yet) but they do include a mini fridge in your room which is nice. They have a coffee machine with these coffee lots they provide by the amount of coffee makes more of an incipid weak tea and not an actual cup of coffee. You have to definitely buy real coffee outside which I didn’t mind really. The look of the hotel is nice but just be mindful it’s in a noisy area but very close 10 minute walk to the beach
