There was a strange smell in reception when I arrived. Staff were friendly enough, but despite checking in online they wanted ID to prove my age (which I didn’t have as i hadn’t realised/read I needed any). The room was recently refurbished and therefore in good condition - basic but really good value for money! Only issue was that it was noisy - I was room 1 which is next to reception and I could hear everything the staff were saying, as well as noise from the corridor.

This hotel is excellent in all respects. However, I was asked to pay an extra £52 on check-in despite having paid in full when I booked with Hotels.com. The charming receptionist eventually resolved the problem. I was also asked to pay extra when I stayed at another Days Inn hotel recently. I would like Hotels.com and Days Inn to work together so that guests are not asked to pay more when they arrive.
