We were very happy with this stay at Loa. The room was very spacious, a/c worked well and the overall building was quiet and spacious as well. Large common area including a very large common use kitchen and eating area. This is located right on main street of a quiet, small community with a grocery store literally right across the street.

No staff interaction. Room supplies like coffee & condiments not replenished. Rooms and building recently renovated, are in very good condition. Extensive kitchen and supplies available to guests willing to do their own cooking. Very limited dining available in this small isolated town. Be prepared to travel for meals or to prepare your own. Good grocery store across the street.

We were skeptical about this place when arrived and found just a keypad on the front door. We hadn't realized that it was self-check-in. We hadn't been sent a code, so we called the number and a helpful person ensured that we got in. Our room was excellent. Clean, and new-looking. The bed was extremely comfortable. Large TV. There was no breakfast service, but a large kitchen was available on the first floor if we had wanted to cook something. Large theatre room downstairs as well as a ping pong table. This was a nice place - we wished we were staying longer than one night. Would definitely stay here again.

A unique motel experience. Old renovated co-op building, very clean and well-maintained, with access for all guests to the complete commercial kitchen! Spacious room and shared spaces for dining. The slightly challenging thing was that no staff was available on-site- all interaction with staff was by email/phone. And this clearly confused some guests- I had to help 3 different parties get into the building, explain how to find their rooms and keypad entry codes, etc. Ultimately, someone from the staff showed up to help, but the system still has some kinks that need to be worked out. That said, though, it was a fine place to stay at a great price, and we'd go there again as it was great fun cooking in the big, fully-equipped kitchen.

The property is conveniently located on Highway 24, and the room is sizable and clean. But the water for shower was not too warm, the room key and front door codes were incorrect, so it took a while to get into our room.

First of all I am not happy with hotels.com because I asked for hotel in Torrey. I didn’t realize the hotel was 18 miles away. That should have been said. Next I did not like that there wasn’t staff on sight. Key pads to get in doors didn’t work properly I didn’t realize there wasn’t an elevator and we were on 2nd floor. No directions for air conditioning or the 1 cup coffee maker. They might as well have not had tv because reception was poor and made impossible to watch. Not happy with the whole situation and can’t understand why so many people gave scores of 10

This was the perfect "off the beaten path" stay. It had everything you want in a room (tv, fridge, etc.) and had the cleanliness you expect from a hotel/Inn. I would recommend a stay here for anyone traveling.

What a hidden gem! This property is clean and comfortable. Their air conditioners are the quietest i have ever had. TV is huge! I would definitely stay here again.
