Fantastic hotel with everything we needed

This was a great motel kind of in the middle of everything we needed. We had rented a car and came in very late after a concert (our reason for going to SF) and there were still places to park. Also, the lot is very secure with only two entrances from the street so nobody is likely to be randomly walking through unless they purposely turn in to the property. The rooms were pretty quiet and the only time I heard the street was when an emergency vehicle was going through with sirens on. The room was very clean, and housekeeping even came through during our two-night stay and swapped out our towels with clean ones. The setup of the room was also cool with a little sitting area on the side. The AC was top notch and we kept it around 68 when we were sleeping, which was perfect. The front desk guy was very polite with a smile to greet us. It was a wonderful motel overall that was quite affordable compared to the other properties at the time, especially given the security and parking available. I'll defintely be looking at this one if we come back to SF!

Great location in San Francisco!

No issues at all with our stay other than a door that was a little hard to open/shut. This is an amazing place just a few blocks from Fort Mason where you can walk to in the morning for an incredible view of the Golden Gate (fog permitting), Alcatraz, and the SF Bay

Neu renoviertes, sehr gutes Motel

Es ist ein älteres Motel, das erst kürzlich weitestgehend gut renoviert wurde. Die Betten sind neu und sehr bequem. Das Bad ist für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr gut, aus dem fest montierten Duschkopf kommt eine guter Wasserdruck. Von 6 Uhr bis 11 Uhr kann man sich kostenlosen Kaffee und andere Heißgetränke aus einem Vollautomaten mit ganzen Bohnen nehmen. die Lage ist perfekt, die Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor dem Motel. Die kostenlosen Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden und so groß, dass ein großes SUV gut geparkt werden kann. In anderen Bewertungen steht, dass es sehr laut und zugig ist. Das kann ich nicht bestätigen. Unsere Türe war nach unten geschlossen, allerdings hat sie beim Öffnen leicht geklemmt, was uns nicht gestört hat. Insgesamt ist es für die Lage normal laut. Man hört hin und wieder eine Sirene oder einen lauten LKW. An einem Morgen kam die Müllabfuhr, da war es kurz sehr laut. Man darf aber die Lage an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße dabei nicht vergessen. Die Zimmer sind bei einer Belegung mit fünf Personen relativ eng. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war bei uns perfekt. Wir hatten mit 5 Personen vier sehr gute Übernachtungen und würden wiederkommen.

Highly recommended

Fabulous motel. Completely renovated to a high standard with lovely decor. Had everything we needed as a family of 5. Walking distance to all the main attractions and parking included in the price which was a boon. Air conditioning was powerful.

My family had a great stay at the Star Motel. The suite could accommodate 2 adults and 3 kids very comfortably. The room was very clean and in great shape. Very helpful friendly staff and good location.
