So, nice location near the Rialto but no reception, restaurant , bar.. room extremely small even by European standards, shower was 2x2 feet could not move, no real windows and no emergency exit… felt trap and claustrophobic, still love Venice…

Hotel is in a great location once you find it. Room was very clean, quiet and beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great which was wonderful as it was extremely hot outside. A few cons include: -No elevator and the steps are marble and steep. Not suitable for someone with limited accessibility. -When I arrived I expected some one to be available at the reception desk as advertised. The entire three days that I was there, there was no one manning the reception desk so you are pretty much on your own. -I didn’t realized that when you leave the room in order to lock the room door you have to put the code in again. I found this out on my second day when I was leaving and throws the door to make sure it was locked. To my surprise it wasn’t. I called the hotel phone number and after over 20 rings no one answered. Finally on my second attempt they answered. There was a communication gap as the receptionist did not speak much English. Finally it was communicated that the code had to be punched in both on entry and exit. They said the info was in the welcome email but it was not. Overall I felt very safe and satisfied with my stay other that these few hiccups. I would stay there again.
