convenient to the national park

Very convenient - close to petrified forest. Clean rooms. The water smells and tastes weird here, so bring water if possible. Highway truck noise (whooshing) all night as it's right off the freeway. Hot breakfast with eggs, meat, bagels, cereal, yogurt.

Great stay

I was a little worried when we pulled up, the property is older...but when I opened the door to our room all my worries vanished. The room was big, the bed was bug and comfy, the shower was great and breakfast was good too.

Great staff but old building

We decided to stay overnight to visit Petrified Forest since it was closed when we arrived, during a road trip from Moab to Phoenix and found this hotel. The staff was very nice. There were birds nesting in the corners of the outside halls and they screeched all night which I'm sure isn't the fault of the staff but they were disruptive in their pursuit of the insects flying around the lights. Also, not sure if its the area or the pipes but the water was a light yellowish color and smelled very metallic. The soap would not even lather in the shower. Not a quality stay but it served its purpose. The staff was STELLAR. The condition of the rooms and property not so much.

Beware the restaurant is closed and there isn’t anything close by. Rooms are clean. It’s convenient, since it’s literally on the I40. Easy to get on and off.

Be advised - no pool or laundry

There is no pool as advertised on this website. There is no restaurant. There is no guest laundry. We never found the ice machine. Breakfast was great - they included powdered eggs and some sort of protein stick. They refunded quickly, since they did not have what we needed for what would have been a 3 night stay. It is an economical stop, but there is no pool or laundry, so don't count on that.

Nice motel

Nice stay, clean room, good breakfast. We like that our ground floor room had parking immediately outside, great for loading / unloading luggage. Great tile work in the bathroom, and the ceiling mounted shower head was a novelty. Conveniently right off I-40, but no noticeable highway noise. We read that the restaurant next door has a good reputation, but didn't get a chance to try it.

Over charging for a mediocre night’s sleep

Worth about half of what I paid - this place is like an old dingy barely updated spot with shotty parking. I can’t even believe I paid what I did so not worth it. Basic at worst.

The hotel, breakfast and room were great! The restaurant next door is Hindu Indian food. I wanted American food. We, not realizing it was Hindi food, had to get there then go drive to find a subway one day. Then the next day we found the grocery store. The highway next to the room was very loud also with all the semi's going by.

It is a basic, no frills motel. The nonstop road noise from the many trucks is there, but did not bother us too much once in the room, which was clean and adequate, though it could benefit from a remodel. Got there at about 7:30PM - dark time and the office was empty. We were wondering by ourselves in that room until the attendant showed up, after 5 minutes. She was nice and professional. All in all you can spend a decent night at this place that happens to be the only one in the middle of nowhere. We may consider it again, if going on a long trip though that highway.
