We loved our stay at combe.Our bedrooms were so very nice and comfortable. It is a beautiful building with wonderful architecture and ambience. Staying at the Abby is like staying in a castle! The building is quite old but appointed well for a modern stay. Our room was spacious, our bed gigantic, like a king’s! The shower was fantastic. The location is off the beaten path, and since we were driving on the “wrong” side of the street, we elected to have dinner twice at the hotel… which is usually a no no for us, but the food was delicious both nights and we were happy to eat there twice. My only complaint is that the room was hot and I didn’t see the card telling us how to turn off the radiator until the morning we checked out. All and all a wonderful stay.

This is a lovely characterfull hotel in a fabulous stately home. You really feel like you have stayed somewhere soecial. Good food is available in the bar or resturaunt and the breakfast was well cooked and reasonably priced. To top it off the staff are freindly, helpful and professional. We definately will stay there again.
