A lovely and quaint hotel within walking distance to the historic old city. My room was very clean and comfortable, and on an unusually hot day, it was a pleasant surprise to find air conditioning in every room. This hotel is a great value. There are rooms located in two buildings, they are virtually next to each other and even though my friend and I were in separate buildings, it was no problem at all. Breakfast was included in my room rate and if you’re usually hungry in the morning, you’re sure to find a variety of delicious options, including gluten free bread if you ask for it. The staff was absolutely delightful, helpful, and kind. I would definitely return, should I find myself visiting Celle again.

Nice hotel

The hotel was nice and has a lot of potential, but some aspects could be improved. The pillows for example were pretty poor quality and seemed very old. However the building was beautiful, the location was good and breakfast was excellent quality. The breakfast room was also very pretty with plenty of natural light and nice views. If certain details like the quality of bedding was improved the hotel would be absolutely excellent.

Det var en fornøjelse at bruge to dage i Celle - og have Caroline Mathilde som basis. Roligt kvarter i grønne omgivelser, og kun få minutters gang til den charmerende bymidte. Lækre værelser med gode senge - og swimmingpool med sauna etc. var en forfriskende bonus. Også gode P-forhold - oven i købet med mulighed for at oplade el-bil. Også morgenmaden, der var inkluderet i prisen var fremragende.
