it was a clean and nice motel

The room was very cool at all times there was no thermostat in the room. It was also -26 outside so that might have something to do with the temperature in the room and once you were in the bed it was good sleeping.

Ok for one night stop over on way to USA. Bathroom was renovated and clean. Rest of room could use some updated. Carpet wasn't very clean..baseboards very dusty. Check in was easy and person was friendly and welcoming.

Not a bad place for a night. The room was clean and the updated bathroom was nice, but other elements appeared to be a work in progress. Checking in was alright, but we couldn't find any staff to check out (the office was locked all morning, and the room phone didn't work, so we had to leave the key in the room and hope for the best).

No hair dryer and basic amenities like shampoo. Dead bugs on floor and lots on window sills.No coffee in room. To save on power everything was unplugged so room so heat was sweltering. Took all night with a very busy AC to cool the room down. Lots of services within a 2 km area. Does not respect the advertised senior discount. Internet works well. Stay anywhere else!

Good location and friendly management

Hotel is nice enough, it was cold though - a space heater was supplied and needed to be kept running to keep the room mildly warm, without the space heater running, or when I went out and turned it off the room was an icebox with the regular heat up full. I had to move the space heater to the bathroom to take showers. The parking lot was also covered in snow while I was there. There was a good snow storm on Friday night and there had been no removal when I left Sunday morning, making getting in and out a challenge.

The carpet was not clean, something in the air made me sick. I got asthma. They did not made the bed the next day. I think this was a motel, on the Expedia site I did not notice that and I went with my mother, she was not comfortable with this hotel. Expedia should specify when it is a hotel or a motel Thank you

Not The BEST

First we didn't have a coffee machine,and the small fridge made so much noise I had to unplug it, There was a lot of noise coming from machines out side We really did not sleep very much this night, Iam so sorry that I didn't book else where . Never again..

Gables Inn just Ok....

Our stay at this motel was okay. The room had 2 double beds, tv, fridge, microwave, 2 chairs with a small round table so you could watch tv either from the beds or the chairs, it also had a small loveseat and 2 desks and 2 chairs. The place was pretty clean but definately everything is older and outdated from the bedspreads to the loveseat. No hangers, no iron or ironing board, no tolietries and no coffee pot, etc. If you are looking just a place to hang your hat for a night the place is okay, would not stay any longer. Area was okay, close to the racetrack and casino and had a decent breakfast a few doors down at John's Restaurant. I paid $112.00 for the room for 2 people, definately over priced for what we got.

Didn’t like anything.. I was fearful the entire time I was there from crackheads that were living there and dealing. Tons of sketchy people coming and going all night and day. The room stunk, beds were dirty. Toilet wasn’t bolted to the floor. Television didn’t work more often then not. As well as wifi.. these are things that should be working with the price that is being expected for this dump.

We had no heat! They had a problem with people having the heat on and the air conditioning. So they shut off the heat and had a space heater in there instead. But it was in the closet not plugged in and running. Since we didnt get there till 1030pm we didn't know, so we had no heat till we talked to someone in the morning. Then we plugged the space heater in the bathroom and it took 1.5 hours to warm up just the bathroom enough to have a shower. In the bedroom we kept our coats on to watch tv. The staff was nice and tried to accommodate but that was a BIG inconvenience since it was only 3 degree outside. The place was clean and had the fridge and microwave but no coffee

DUMP

It took 1/2 hour to get a answer at the check-in door while freezing outside. Rang the doorbell (which didn't work), knocked steadily on the locked with no results, phoned their website number and received "mailbox is full". I then kicked the door many times and she finally came to the door. She said that she couldn't hear me because her grandchildren were being noisy. She put us in room # 34 where it was freezing because the baseboard heaters didn't work. Had to use a 12" square portable heater which took forever to start putting some warm air in the room. No extra blanket for the bed. Slept with some of our clothes on and with our coats on top of the covers. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

There was no coffee machine in the room, only 2 plastic cups. TV was a good TV, but cable service wasn't great, not many channels to choose from. The mini fridge needs servicing. it would freeze can's of pop, and the ice box didn't get cold enough to make ice. There was no Ice Machine to use either. Internet isn't high speed, even though they claim it to be. the main office doesn't ever turn off the open sign, but they lock the door and don't always answer the door bell. We needed new sheets and the lady at the front said that she had to go get her car serviced before she could help us. a pool is on site, but it is only useful if there is water in it. when i went to checkout, the main door was locked, and the man that answered the doorbell just took the key, and didn't seem to speak any english. we had neighbors that would yell at night, and work on their bikes late in the parking lot right outside of the door, and nothing was being done about it by the staff. I wouldn't recommend this place. Go to the Holiday Inn or the Hamptons Inn.

Most of the room such as beds, floors and tub were very clean. Some plates possible from not being used so long needed a rinse before use. A few amenities on the website were not available. The pool hadn't been used in a long time and there was no laundry service. I had a kitchenette and some of the pans had rather loose handles. The beds were very comfy. The frig and freezer worked fine, but I had to plug it in which was rather inconvenient since I had meat I took with me that had started to thaw. Overall, if you want to pay cheap and get cheap, it's fine, but you might consider paying a few extra dollars if you want more than 3 stars.

One of the worst motels I’ve ever stayed at. We booked a room with two beds and a kitchen, but as soon as we entered, the room smelled bad, the bedsheets were dusty, and the furniture was dirty. There were bugs all around. We informed the owner and asked them to check the room, but they simply said, "This is what you get." The room was nothing like what was advertised on Expedia. When I told them I wanted to cancel, they offered us a smaller room without a kitchen, which also smelled terrible. Since it was a long weekend, we tried other hotels, but everything was fully booked, so we had no choice but to stay. We had to buy air freshener, hand wash, body wash, and bedsheets just to get through one night. It was a nightmare. Please check the pictures they advertise — they are completely different from the actual rooms. This is one of the dirtiest, most unpleasant places I’ve ever visited. You'll find spiders and bugs everywhere. The rooms clearly haven’t been cleaned or vacuumed in months. Do not stay here.
