2/10 Poor

Rats nests are better.

This was the worst place I've ever stayed, no toilet paper, no kitchen utensils, and the owner wants too much money for this place it's not worth $2 a week. Old wiring and outlets that work.
Dale, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

Definitely a 1-star place.

Basic motel, no amenities except wifi. Only one of the two beds was made up. Had to ask for towels. No soap in room. Old, creaky building, somewhat smelly, even though it was clean. Long-term guests congregated in hallway, came in and out late in the night, disturbing our sleep. Staff was friendly. Pets allowed.

NEVER COME HERE

It was a horrible experience. The room was disgustingly filthy. I found a couple of cockroaches and the place smelled dreadful. My experience was so bad I had to go to a different hotel, I can't believe this is opened.I don't recommend you even think about staying here, don't let the price fool you.

Had dead bugs on the floor and I couldn’t get a refund of 76$

2/10 Poor

Didn’t stay and even loss the money that we paid. Reason why was because there was cockroaches in our room. My opinion is I should get refunded. The staff wanted to see and I had killed one in the bathroom beside the throw rug and the staff said he didn’t see it when it was laying right there. The was another cockroach that crossed over the floor where the beds were

Won’t Stay

Terrible motel. Stench of old cigarette smoke. Tattered linens, patched walls not painted. Upon arrival was told we had no reservation. Wouldn’t have my dog stay at this place.

The entire place needs cleaned heavily and new sheets and everything needed. Normally I'd brush it off as maybe hard times recovering from Covid but owner was hostile

Don't stay here!

I showed up after driving 3½ hours, and entered to a rotten smell in the lobby. I'm then told my room was cancelled. I ended up having to stay 30 minutes out of town. Not worth it.

Just be careful..nd clean your room yourself before doing anything

The owners of the motel were friendly, but unprofessional in greeting, attire, and preparedness. We were put in a trailer that seemed to be spot cleaned but nothing else. I would definitely not stay there again, even for the cheapest price.

2/10 Poor

No air conditioning. Hotter than hell in the room. Holes in the sheets . Screen in the window was just hanging out from window. Only gave us one towel and wash cloth. Had to ask for more towels. Vent in floor was so dirty u couldn’t even see through it. Chair was old and had big tear in cushion. Walls were all marked up. This hotel definitely needs some major upgrades. Never been to a place as bad as this. For 89.00 it was definitely not worth it. That bad that I almost went out and slept in my vehicle. Will never stay there again.

Nothing unique about my stay I booked a double bed / room. I stayed in a single wide trailer out back. Door barely locked . Riom was terrible, gaps in the doors so unwanted guests can crawl right in. Tv didnt work, bed was horrible, dirty linens. Not even matching linens. Looked like they have us a piol towell. Felt like i was camping, but dirtier. Never ever would of booked if i knew what it looked like. Better off staying in my car. Glad we only stayed for 6 hours. Wouldnt recommend this place at all

This is a trailer oark not a hotel and should be advertised properly. We could not find anybidy to check in. We left and did not return. Very dirty and surprised expidia would offer this place.

This was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The pictures on line, and the difference on when I got there was night and day

Clean and cheap

Room was clean and cheap. Had toilet, shower and bed and that is all I needed. It did not have mini-fridge or small microwave that I really use for leftovers. It was fine. Manager was friendly. There was no breakfast but a very small kitchen was available for all guests on bottom floor.

This place is disgusting and smells of raw sewage. When we were taken to our room there were items from previous guests in there. When we decided not to stay we were rudely denied a refund. I would never recommend anyone stay here. It is NASTY!!!!!

10/10 Exceptional

Great comfort and value.

Donna, the front desk receptionist, was beyond accomodating. Would definately recommend staying for business or with a family. Was very clean, all accommodations worked perfectly and other guests were very quiet and respectful.

Bizarre

Oh My!!! The word for the weekend was bizarre.

2/10 Poor

Not a great experience

Several friends were attending a reunion at Susquehanna University. This was the only hotel that had availability on Hotels.com. I can not recommend this hotel based on a number of factors including cleanliness and the door handle falling off as we tried to enter our room. The staff was friendly and accommodated us as we arrived late. However, the room left something to be disired.

valley lodge - selinsgrove

hands down the sketchiest place i've ever stayed - including random hostels around the world and in underdeveloped countries. signs say no smoking, but the place constantly reaks of smoke, though our room was ok. room itself was decent and clean, though it was off the side of the main office, with the whole wall a window looking into the main office. the window was covered by blinds, but still felt pretty much in the display case. no towels or bathing items included, which isn't too big a deal, but would have been nice to know in advance. pretty well assume they're there these days, even in the cheapest place possible. as i mentioned the room was ok, but overall seemed very old and run-down, ill-refitted to be a motel, and definitely not worth the price.

2/10 Poor

Seriously, Stay away.

Ok. Now, I'm a 23 year old guy and I just needed a place to stay for 1 night because I had a race in the area the next morning. This place was the cheapest, and I'm not picky so I ignored the other reviews and stayed here. I thought to myself- how bad could it be? Do not make the same mistake as me. First of all, it's not obvious from the picture, but this is not your standard hotel or motel. It appears to be a modified office building that someone tried to make into a hotel. It feels strange walking in, like you're in the wrong place. After checking in at the desk, the manager walked us to our room, down like a little hallway. The room was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. It was about 9ft. by 9 ft. The bathroom was attached to the room and was only a few feet wide. My knees hit the door when I sat down. The bathroom also had a second door which opened up into the hallway we had just come from. It did have a lock, which I locked. There were no towels, no soap, no shampoo. The room itself was barely wide enough for the bed. They did allow me to bring my bicycle inside after discussing it with the manager. The room had no climate control or thermostat. There was a second door in the room which led to the back alley of the area. I amde sure that was locked too. There was a small 10" television, which I did not use. The bed was uncomfortable. When we pulled back the comforter there were yellow stains on it. Moths literally flew out of the bed as we got on. The pillows were awful. One was like a plastic hard pillow that crunched when you lay on it. The other was a piece of foam with a pillow case. If you decide to go here, bring your own pillows, towels, sheets, etc. The entire building smelled like a mix of Indian cooking and cigarettes which wafted into the room. The room is kind of central ot the whole building with a large gap under the door, so you can smell and hear (more on that in a minute) everything going on in the rest of the building. All of this I could have handled. I'm jsut going to sleep there after-all. Just turn out the lights, pretend I'm on a beach, and relax. I went to bed early (9:30) and fell asleep fairly quickly. This would have been good, but I was startled awake aroun 11:30. The employees were in the common area (lounge/staff area) arguing loudly. They began to shout at each other and continued to shout at each other for about an hour. It was so loud I could not drown them out with music, the pillow or shoving things in the crack in the door. I am not exaggerating about the level of their voice. It was a shout that you would use at a ballgame. They finally quieted down around 12:30 and I fell back asleep. I was awakened again with a start at 4:30. They were shouting again, this time right outside of my door. it sounded like they weren't arguing this time, but just getting started making coffee and such for the day. But they were shouting, outside of my door, at 4:30 in the morning. Soon after that one of the other employees started checking the voicemail, which i could hear clearly and loudly in the room. Yes, the walls/door are that thin. I finally got up and left around 5:30. The guy working the desk was in his pajamas and a under-shirt. I will never return. I didn't even know there were hotels like this in the US. Please, I beg of you, pay a little extra, get a nicer hotel elsewhere.
