The hotel was in a great location but parking at the local multi-storey was very expensive. The breakfast was lovely but our evening meal was very disappointing as there wasn’t much left on the menu. What we did have was very bland. The staff were very friendly and our room was lovely but did overlook people in the restaurant which was a bit invasive.

Fantastic location, an excellent example of upgrading a historic property, and a spacious room with a kitchenette. Managing the lights going on and off was tricky at first, but we got it sorted.

Boutique style, but whilst some very modern touches, some basics let it down. Breakfast changed to continental without notice or price reduction (£21).To be fair, we were credited for the one day we tried it. TV was not ‘smart’, basic channels only Kettle lid was broken. Toilet permanently flushing, until we raised it at which point it was mended. Room only serviced every third day, but insufficient tea, coffee and milk for 3 days without asking Bath towel had large hole. Replacement was available, but shouldn’t have been necessary. Available parking is 10 mins walk away and cost £55 for 3 nights

We mini-mooned at The Hobson and had a such a good experience we booked an extra night! Beautiful buildings, rooms and wonderful service. Chris behind the front desk couldn't do enough for us, taking pictures of us in our wedding finery in the impressive setting and making us feel very special. The restaurant is reasonably priced for such high-quality food. Try the octopus!

It was a really great experience overall. The staff were helpful and attentive to needs. The check-in/check-out process was pretty smooth. the rooms and property were modern, clean and overall great. Location is perfect, being right on one of the main roads, but still having a bit of "hiddenness" was a boost. It didn't feel noisy being on the main road either. Food places are everywhere in Cambridge and particularly around the hotel property. It was my 5th visit to Cambridge and first time here, actually first time knowing about the property, and I was so pleased; it's definitely on my list to check out next time.
