The hotel was under renovation and therefore not all facilities available. This should improve when finished, but I would have expected to have been informed. Smokers in the bar polluted the atmosphere. The machine coffee was awful 😖. Not great value.

Quick stop in Normandie

We stayed at Hôtel de la Place after a long six-hour drive through central France to Normandy. We booked through Hotels.com and upgraded our room, but sadly it didn’t meet our expectations. The room felt very tired and worn out. There was nowhere comfortable to sit together, and several items were either damaged, broken, or in urgent need of repair. It definitely needs refurbishment. That said, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the front of the hotel is quite attractive. It’s a real shame the rooms don’t match the appearance of the exterior.

Super restaurant !
Verified review

6/10 Good
