This place was a lovely gem! Beautiful, comfortable rooms with a wonderful large balcony. Close to promenade and restaurants and also east acress to bus line. Anita was very helpful with great information. Would highly recommend this Villa and would definitely stay here again!

The Villa was lovely. Beautiful modernization of a very old residence. No one was there to greet us and give check in information. To be fair, our ferry was late in getting into Dubrovnik, however, another person should have been tasked with reception.

Anita greeted us with a big smile and offered many great tips to make our visit to Dubrovnik a pleasant one. The room was spotless and very well equipped. The grounds surrounding the hotel were very welcoming. Located across the street is a food market, bakery and a great restaurant and just around the corner (a short walk) a line of restaurants and bars with Lapad Beach topping the area off await you.The spotless promenade overlooks Lapad Beach and leads you to the Cave Bar and More Hotel which as a guest of Villa Filaus is at your disposal…a great place to have a cool drink and swim after touring Old Town Dubrovnik. Great job Villa Filaus!

Bargain 5star stay.

Such a lovely room and all of it appeared to be brand new. Shower was amazing and spacious. Staff polite. Anita on reception was very friendly and full of good advice. She is a credit to the hotel chain and obviously loves her job The hotel is in the Lapad area within east reach of the local beach and many restaurants and cafe bars, and the marina for boat/ferry trips. It’s a good 40minute walk to Dubrovnik old town up and down some gentle hills. Stay here and catch the bus rather than pay extortionate Old Town prices

Anita was very helpful and eager to assist. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. Parking for our rental car was very convenient. Close to the promenade and restaurants. We enjoyed a lovely day at Hotel More and took full advantage of thier services. Bus stop is just round the corner so easy access to Dubrovnik Old City. The main downside was breakfast. Yiu are given token to use at hotel round the corner. I do not have problem with this. My issue was the quality and options for breakfast. Breakfast is in the basement in a very drab room overcrowded with large tables and chairs. You can sit outside but there is little shade. The pool area of the villa does not have any showers or changing area. The pool is tiny but perfect for plunging and cooling off. More could be made ofcthe gardens as they lovely but no furniture to make use of it. Overall a lovely stay.

Villa Filaus is excellently located. Away from the crowds of the Old Town, yet the Old Town is very easily accessible either by getting the bus which is just a 2 min walk from the Villa, or it’s a pleasant 40 min walk, which I did often. The Villa is a few minutes walk from a lovely pebble beach where it’s possible to watch the setting sun. There’s a huge selection of places to eat, and while the main promenade which passes by the end of the street of Villa Filaus, can be a little touristy there are still some good places here & you can find many more choices away from this area with a little exploring. From the little beach or the end of the promenade you can find the walking trail around the coast of Babin Kuk which is a lovely walk. Lapad really is an ideal location for exploring the whole of Dubrovnik. Villa Filaus is immaculate whith a high standard of accommodation & service. As it is a Villa & not a Hotel there are no facilities, but the rooms do have fridges so you can keep snacks & drinks in your room. Breakfast is served in a restaurant behind the hotel, a very lovely walk through the Hotel garden, and no inconvenience at all. Anita the host at Villa Filaus went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable and to help in anyway she could. I would definitely stay here again, and would very happily recommend it to others.

Bien situé par rapport à la ligne de bus qui mène à la vieille ville. Très belle chambre bien équipée avec terrasse. Petit déjeuner à l’extérieur auprès d’un partenaire à 300 m. Beaucoup de formules mais il vous manque toujours un ingrédient pour être pleinement satisfait. Quantité à peine suffisante. Supermarché à proximité pour compléter.

The villa looks beautiful from outside but no front desk when we arrived and we stayed 3 days and did not see any employee at the reception. For the price we paid, we should have had a human being assisting + housekeeping service vs feeling like an airbnb unit. The bathroom had a very strong odor ; no curtains in bathroom and could not iron clothes but Anita was nice enough and replaced it. Even though Anita was responsive via whatapp , she stopped responding to us when we checked out a day earlier due to safety/smell concerns . She said that she will talk to Supervisor buts been several days and two messages. i would appreciate if Management would reimburse the last day

Lovely small hotel in great location

This is a charming place in a wonderful location in the seaside Lapad area of Dubrovnik—away from the tour buses and cruise ships, but an easy bus ride or Uber to the walled city. Anita was wonderful, providing lots of great info for our stay—we had two lovely meals at restaurants she recommended. A nice full breakfast was provided at a restaurant a short walk from the hotel. The room was clean and lovely, with a little espresso machine! The only downside to the stay was that the room got a bit humid with the AC on and there was no cleaning service between our two nights (but we didn’t ask if it was available, and just washed our coffee cups out—no problem at all—just not consistent with other hotels).

Loved staying here! The hotel was quiet, had its own pool and was within walking distance of the beach. Restaurants nearby and a quick journey by bus into Dubrovnik old town. Staff at the hotel are excellent from the front of desk to housekeeping. Would highly recommend.
