We frequently stay at Naryn Guest House when visiting LA. It’s is a cozy and welcoming vibe centrally located near downtown Los Angeles. The rooms are spotless with comfortable amenities. The garden is peaceful and shady. Complimentary breakfast served daily is a definite plus! Property was clean well cared for and comfortable. Facilities good. Lovely room and nice exterior. People were friendly. Only issue was late breakfast aon both days and WiFi cut out at midnight 1st August. Not sure the reason but left me stranded the next morning when I needed to order a car and book my ongoing journey using WiFi. It was not restored and I had to leave early.

First time experiencing hostel/dorm style stay. Stayed 2 nights. The owner greater us at the door and gave us room was clean, the staff greeted us at the door and gave us a quick tour. One bathroom was tiny in size but manage to get the job done, had another regular size bathroom available. Sometimes you find water on floor if someone previously showered or washed hands in the smaller bathroom. Stayed in room 6, one bed very firm, almost felt coils under. The other bed a bit too soft, but i was able to get sleep. Neighbors can get loud they had a party late at night, so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Be prepared to find parking anywhere around the neighborhood as there is no parking saved specifically for you. Room felt a bit warm for us in the afternoon/evening while getting ready. Breakfast is available, we didn’t get a chance to try. 1st day it ended earlier than 11, we didn’t know and we were taking a while to get ready for the day. Second day, just looked crowded so we headed out.

well-why the hack I picked this place at all?? this is not a hotel or guesthouse. it is just a house with some poorly maintained rooms for tourists and the conditions we just bad, Nobody took care of checking in, no toilet or shower in a room, no toilet paper in general toilets, no towel, no shampoo. no breakfast. noise all night long, bad neighborhood, nothing to do after sunset. so: I left after 1st night without even say thank you. AVOID this place

I don’t like that hotels.com price was 60% higher than other sites for this guest house. There was a hole in the ceiling of the room, bathrooms are shared. There was a bandaid stuck to the towel, which I had to find myself. Breakfast image that they show is much more elaborate than reality. There is a pretty garden but someone regularly leaves cigarette butts around the property.

Hotels.com says that check in starts at noon And goes until any time. My flight landed at 9 pm and I arrived at 10 pm and no staff was around. Another guest had to give me the cellphone number of the manager to come and check me in. Then I found out that they “thought I wasn’t coming” and gave my room away. I booked a triple room but was given a tiny room the size of a closet. Someone with no reservation took my room. The manager said we could switch the next day but then did not switch us. The bed in my closet room felt like a box spring. It was like sleeping on a wooden table. My arm was in serious pain because of that. The shared bathrooms are very tight and hard to maneuver in and one ran out of toilet paper while the other one had a toilet clogged with feces. You can hear other guests through the walls and it smells like smoke. People loiter outside at all hours of the night. I booked a 3 nights but I left after 2 and stayed elsewhere
