The hotel is nicely located in a calm area with a stunning view on the castle. It is only 10 min away from the old bazar where you'll find most of the restaurant. The room is nice, and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast offers plenty of choices, and the staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel has reserved parking spots, so you won't struggle finding a parking place in these narrow streets.

This was an amazing little hotel with big features We love the character and how comfortable and clean the room was and had everything that we needed. The spa and sauna were absolutely amazing and I’m sure the outdoor pool would be a huge bonus when warmer. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast was promised to be amazing and it definitely was. I can highly recommend staying here to all your friends.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and the friendly, helpful and kind staff who run it. Super cool indoor pool and sauna, peaceful outdoor pool and sunbathing area. Rooms are spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and modern but with an authentic Albanian style. Amazing breakfast. A peaceful oasis from the bustling bazar and hilltop castle, all which are a lovely 10-15min stroll away up the cobbled streets. Rooms with balconies and views over the valley and up the mountain are a real treat. Don’t hesitate, book it, we loved it 💛

Vi bodde i den private suiten. Flott rom med deilig aircondition. Hotellet er nylig renovert(september 2025) da det i utgangspunktet har vært ett gammelt hus som er gjort om til hotell. Delikat utført. Eieren har lagt mye innsats i å gjøre det til ett hyggelig hotell. Siden vi var 2 voksne på tur hadde det vært ønskelig om hotellet var ett voksenhotell men det er det ikke og det gjør at det til tider kan være endel støy ved bassengområdet. Hotellet har egne høner og dyrker egne grønnsaker - så til frokost er det kortreist mat som gjelder så langt det lar seg gjøre. Kort vei å gå opp til borgen og restaurantområdet. Kun 200 meter å gå til nærmeste minimarket.

**Un véritable coup de cœur à Gjirokastër !** Le Çumaku Boutique Hotel est une formidable découverte : un hôtel de charme encore plus beau en réalité que sur les photos. Perché à seulement quelques minutes à pied du cœur du vieux bazar de Gjirokastër, il offre également un parking gratuit, un vrai confort dans cette ville escarpée. L’accueil est chaleureux, le service irréprochable et toute l’équipe mérite nos remerciements. Du spa alimenté par l’eau des montagnes jusqu’au petit-déjeuner, tout est remarquable. Quelle sensation extraordinaire que de commencer la journée en plongeant dans la piscine intérieure du spa, avant de savourer un excellent petit-déjeuner ! Mention spéciale pour l’expresso inclus, un détail appréciable qui est loin d’être systématique. Autre atout majeur : la piscine extérieure et son bar, face à une vue absolument spectaculaire sur le château et le clocher de l’église. Un décor dont on ne se lasse pas. Et pour une escapade en amoureux, demandez la chambre n° 2… Le rapport qualité-prix est exceptionnel. Notre seul regret : ne pas y avoir séjourné plus longtemps. Toute la famille a été conquise. Une adresse que nous recommandons sans hésitation !

Ett av de bästa boenden vi hade på 2 veckor i Albanien. Nytt, fräscht, mycket fina detaljer överallt, fina stora rum, superfint badrum, underbar pool med vidunderlig utsikt. Fantastiskt trevlig värd samt personal. Pool både ute samt liten spaavdelning inne. Tillgång till pool dygnet runt bara man respekterade tystnaden på natten. Superbra frukostbuffé. Perfekt läge i gamla delen av Girokastra. Parkering på stor parkeringsplan ingick.

Propriétaire et personnel aux petits soins et vraiment avec un esprit convivial. Ils mettent à l’aise tout de suite. L’hôtel, la ville et les personnes restent notre meilleur souvenir de l’Albanie. La suite était magnifique et d’une tranquillité impressionnante.
