Lovely rooms, brilliant staff. Good selection of beers, great food, evening and breakfast. Nice area to stay, High Street packed with shops,restaurants and other drinking establishments. The Grapevine Jaz bar down the road for cocktails, the steam train round the corner and the Old Dairy Tap House on its doorstep. Perfect👍

Brilliant stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful Christmas decorations, felt very festive. The room was comfortable with lots of personal touches. Very old building so a few squeaky floorboards to be expected. Great gluten free options. We will be back. Merry Christmas.

Perfect ‘treat’ break … lovely pub/hotel. The weather was superb too! Room was everything we would put on a wish list (it was a great price on our budget so didn’t get church tower & high st views) but everything so easily walkable. Lots cafes restaurants but chose hotel as vg menu choice on a Sunday night! Thanks to all staff who were extremely accommodating & friendly. We will def visit again.

The hotel rooms are above a very nice pub but still quiet in the evenings, I stayed weekdays so maybe that was why. room was very cosy without being small, plenty of space for bags etc, great tea and coffee selection too. would be more than happy to stay here again. The only point was they could not see I had paid when I arrived so had to pay again, they did however refund it the next day when I showed proof of payment.
