The pool area is exactly what you’d expect from a five star hotel. Breakfast overlooking the beach was magic. For my Canadian friends, think a smaller version of one of our CN hotels. Luxurious.

We loved our stay at Bela Vista! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable from the second we arrived. Portimão itself is perhaps a little more touristy than other cities in the Algarve, but Bela Vista felt like an oasis away from this. The preservation of the original home and its fine architecture, Brazilian wood, and gorgeous hand painted tiles was meticulous and made for a very special stay. This is a very special place: grown-up, sophisticated and the very opposite of a chain. A short walk down to the huge beach. And, a haven from the craziness of the street on the other side of the elegant gates. The breakfast bar is extraordinary. Staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us.
