New but terribly impractical
Arrived late at night (1am) and there wasnโt any signage. Our driver was about to leave us in the middle of a dark alley in what I would call a โsketchyโ area. When we finally found the โhotelโ it was easy to check in using the automated process and we climbed into bed only to realize there is a giant green exit sign above the door illuminating the entire room.
Woke 4 hours later to loud construction noises outside and in the stairwell. Luckily they added a large sign outside (but loud noise continued throughout our stay).
Trying to get 6 people ready in the morning was ridiculous. There are ZERO outlets close to any counter tops or mirrors. We had to dry/curl our hair sitting on the floor looking into the iPad screen. There is a large kitchen countertop but no outlets remotely close and no counters in the bathroom. There are outlets in the bathroom but we could never get them to work.
I wish they would provide a regular table instead of a coffee table and mats so you could actually work or eat comfortably.
Having two bathrooms was nice but since they are all-in-one shower toilet combinations we had to designate one a shower (the one without a sink) and the other (tiny) for using the toilet or everything was wet. No cleaning services so you had only 1 towel each and no place provided to hang them.
The area is about a 30 min walk to Myeong-dong and we always felt nervous walking at night.
Highlights: clean, new, amazing shower head, nice laundry facility.
