We had a lovely stay here, the staff were all lovely and our room with jacuzzi bath was fabulous. You should have dinner if you stay it was very good, big portions and reasonably priced. They also have electric car chargers.

My stay at this fantastic, historic hotel was truly exceptional from start to finish. From the genuinely warm welcome to the outstanding food, every aspect was a delight. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. My spacious, well-kept room, complete with a wonderfully comfortable four-poster bed, ensured a perfect night's sleep. This unique establishment is undoubtedly one of the best hotels I've had the pleasure of staying. Highly recommended.

Hall is looking tired on the outside with visable broken and boarded up windows at the very top. Room was dated, we stayed in the Munro studio, no windows that open and looks directly onto the back entrance so needed to keep blinds down otherwise people could see straight in as this is a ground floor room. Opposite kitchen so could smell the cooking. What made this stay was the lovely staff and evening meals were great

Superb Hotel
This is a superb hotel, I was met with a very warm greeting, all of the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough. My room (Le Meschin) was huge with a superbly comfortable four poster bed and a multi-function shower in the en suite that was perfect after my day of cycling. Food was great, location excellent, I have already recommended to friends

I had a wonderful stay at Moresby Hall. Idyllic scenery and friendly, helpful staff. Food was filling and standard so no surprises on the menu. As a solo traveller I was disappointed to have limited dining opportunities in walking distance. Beautiful historic building.

Very nice building, very nice location, very nice staff.....but tone down the "quirkiness" a bit.
Having said that, I would still come back. Quiet and relaxing.

Amazing hotel, beautiful location. Breakfast was heavenly with lots of selection. Cereal, fruit, yoghurts and selection of hot breakfast from full english to porridge. They cater for all dietary needs. Lovely quaint romantic restaurant again with a lovely selection of food. We actually ate there both nights we stayed and then had some nice peacful drinks in hotel bar. As for the rooms they were stunning, clean, confortable beds with all the amenties you need. Whether you just want a night away from it all or a base to explore whitehaven or st.bees Moresby Hall is the place to stay.

Quirky but friendly
Very friendly & helpful staff. As a coeliac they made me feel safe with my meals & had made an effort to accommodate my needs. The building is very old which makes it quite different & my room was up 2 flights of a stone spiral staircase & had a very unusual layout!

What a beautiful looking hotel, with the staff and new owners to match, my stay at the hotel was a very special one, celebrating my 60th birthday, the owner Steph and her lovely family made me feel very special. Thank you so much for your hospitality, wish you all the best for the future.

Really enjoyable visit. Staff very attentive and gave prompt services. Room was enormous with a bed with 2 time zones. Made us feel really small, initially we thought it was hard but we slept so soundly. Jetted tub with the tv in the wall was a nice touch. Small gardens but immaculately kept. Very quiet considering we were just below a major road.
Breakfast was really good and the staff were really efficient and were able to supply a good breakfast

What a great find!
Another fantastic stay in this beautiful building. The owners Jane and Dave are so welcoming and couldn't do enough for me. Moresby hall is very well maintained, very clean and just a lovely experience to stay in such a historic building including an amazing breakfast! I loved the huge 4 poster bed, period furniture and complimentary shampoo, shower gel and body cream which are a great quality for once! They also have meeting facilities. I will be returning with my family soon as I would like them to experience what a difference this hotel is from the the regular, impersonal and generic hotels we usually have. Thank you Jane, Dave and your staff!

Stunning
The couple at Moseby Hall couldn’t do enough for us. When first pulling up you could see the age of the building and once inside you could tell they had kept to the buildings heritage while still having comfort. Our room (De Asby) was lovely with a massive 4 poster bed and the bathroom was just right. My husband loved the digital jet shower so much he now wants one. On the second night we had a meal at the hotel and what a meal! We both had steak and the only word to describe it was stunning.
The hall is about 20 mins from the lakes distillery which was also a lovely visit.
