We have stayed at Black Bear Manor several times now, and this property never disappoints. The rooms are spotless and charming, the location is perfect, and the onsite hosts Laura and Elizabeth are so warm, welcoming, and kind we've come to call them friends. We found out we were in the smallest room there. We had no idea. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room and it was so very quaint! We had a choice of a home cooked meal, a vegie omelet. It was delish! Laura, the chief came out to ask us if we needed anything and then sat down an chatted with us. She a kind person. Made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

The staff was excellent and went well beyond our expectations. Great location close to the river and the heart of town. Breakfast was very good both days we were there. We would highly recommend this B&B. It will be our first choice for our next visit to Ouray, CO.

Book yourself a great stay at the Black Bear Manor

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. Best of all was the service. Gino and Lauren both knocked themselves out to ensure that we were comfortable and that the room was in great condition, and that everything we needed was available to us. Breakfast (cooked by Lauren) was fantastic each day. We loved the condition of our room, the hot tub, the property in general, and even the BBQ grill. Location near the river was peaceful and cool, and only two blocks off the main street. If you are coming to Ouray, do yourself a favor and book a reservation at this place. Extremely satisfied. We will be staying here again for sure.

Beautiful, romantic spot!

The stay was amazing! My boyfriend had never been here before, and he was amazed by all the scenery. The view from the window in our room was spectacular! It was located right in the middle of town with close walking to any destination. Staff was extremely welcoming, and friendly. The house has a very cozy, rustic, renovation look. All the comforts of a modern home, but the charm of an older, well kept home. The only 2 negatives I found were that the upstairs was quite hot, but I’m sensitive to temperature; and fans were, definitely, provided! The other issue was that I love coffee, and the coffee was so strong in the morning, I couldn’t manage to drink it. Overall, a great stay! I feel it was worth the value; and the hot tub was wonderful! Thanks for the great stay! Hope to come back!
