Ok for short stay if you don't want fancy.
The room was clean and comfortable, however this motel really needs a renovation, inside and out.

Do not waste your money!!!
Absolutely HORRIBLE... got to the hotel @ 3:00 a.m. Was told that they kept getting reservations, but had no rooms. I had traveled for 25 miles from Salisbury to Pocomoke, passing several hotels on the way. Was told that the one room that was left, the key card reader did not work, only the master hotel key could open the door. The room smelled, there was hair on the tub, bathroom floor was dirty, no towels, no iron or ironing board, no one came to the lobby to let me back in when I tried to get ice. Hotels.com said this was the only hotel they showed with availability, but I passed several whose parking lots did not look full. This was my absolute worst hotel stay ever!!! If I had been by myself and not with my wife who has back problems, I would have slept in my car!!!!!

Old and in need of rehab!
You get what you pay for in this motel. The room needs painting and a total bathroom remodel. Evidently they don't have a water filtration system as iron water stained sink and old chipped up tub. There is a strong smell of iron (well) water. Not pleasant. Only good thing was the beds were clean and comfortable. One night was enough for me.

Gross
This was the worst motel I stayed in. Microwave and refrigerator dirty. Uncomfortable pillows, rug dirty, tooth past on the vanity. Turned the knob to turn on the shower and it came off in my hands.

Hotel from Hell
As my civic duty I need to forewarn the public from staying here. To begin, the water smelled like blood..no lie. My friend and I had no other word for the rancid odor the shower and bathroom sink emitted. The sheets were musty and w cigarette holes in them leaving us to buy sleeping bags at the walmart down the street in hopes of preventing bedbugs or some other sick disease. Worst of all, a crackhead managed to open the door in the middle of the night to eat her bag of hardees. She quickly apologized for intrusion once I caught her entering and left. Only moments later did she try again at entering for an unknown reason, but luckily the deadbolt was in place to prevent her second intrusion. Needless to say, we quickly left at the crack of dawn w little to no sleep. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $20 for the Days Inn up the street. My initial reaction to this place was that it was the worst hotel I'd ever been to and by the end of my stay it succeeded in that reputation...for godsakes did it...

Trouble with room key.
The room was clean for the most part although the floor was not swept each day. We had trouble with the room key most of the visit; most of the time having to get someone to let us in.

Don't Use This Place
We arrived and found the exterior run down with an abandoned look. Grass was growing in the cracks in the parking lot. The office was manned by an man and a woman that were nice.. The odor in the office was repulsive. Once inside the room we found the beds and furniture were old and uncomfortable. The walls and doors were dirty. We decided it was best just to leave and try to find another place. We found another motel, EconoLodge, across the street was very clean, well cared for and comfortable. This was the first time in my life that I left a room like this.

Never go here!
This place SUCKED! No hot water, the TV was one of those old tube sets, the beds were uncomfortable and it looked dirty, even though it wasn't all that terribly bad, but it just LOOKED it.

close to ghetto style
Between Econolodge at 5 on 1 to 10 scale, and this one at 2 on the same scale it's big difference. I don't give 1 because I believe is still room for worst. Anyway is very close to ghetto style. I will not stay again there, is more better to sleep on tent or in your car in one Rest / Service Area.

Not Even An Option
A friend and I took an impromptu trip to Ocean City, MD. In anticipation of everything being booked we used Hotels.com call-in service to assist us. We were told that the ONLY closest room available was the Traveler's Budget Inn AND that there was on one room available so we booked. The Inn was in a very remote location and we did not feel safe. Nonetheless, and despite our instincts, we decided to give the room a look and continued to check in. Our room was not any better. Since I am pregnant, during the booking call I had explicitly requested a non-smoking room which was confirmed back to me prior to continuing with the final purchase/reservation. The room reeked of cigarettes without having to look very hard I discovered cigarette buds just behind the TV stand/dresser. The carpet had not been vacuumed and there was a noticeable line of hair and dust on the floor along every wall. The bathroom contained rust and mold in the stand-in shower and at the base of the toilet. There was also a left over bar of soap in the shower so it was obvious the shower had not been cleaned. In our disgust, we decided to leave despite knowing about the cancellation policy, the fact that we had just checked in, and that we had a 3+ hour drive back home ahead of us. My friend and I are not picky people and do not complain. However, when a question of safely and health arises something must be said.

Needed a room, you get what you pay for...
You get what you pay for. Room was dirty, shower plumbing not attached to wall correctly but shower worked, soap provided by no shampoo or hair dryer in room. Beds were comfortable but linens old and worn out. TV worked very well. Room hot when we entered, took hours to cool down. Master switch turns on lighting power, microwave, and refrigerator. Took hours for refrigerator to get cold.
We needed a room but would not return to this place.

Keep heading northbound
Never used the room. The Bates Motel would be an upgrade. Many rooms boarded up because they are condemned. There is no microwave in room as advertised.
I strongly advise Expedia not to recommend this hotel.

Not at all what is pictured
[*] The place was not at all as advertised in the photos, in fact I wonder where the photos came from, maybe the hotel I had to book once I decided that I would need a tetnus shot to sleep in that dump. The @%#%$% at the desk wouldn't even refund the money and I did not even stay, barely even checked in. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, NOT EVEN IF THEY LET YOU STAY FOR FREE.

Cheap Hotel. Comfy Bed.
This "Inn" had everything I wanted - a comfortable, well AC'd place to crash between sunrise & sunset. I was very satisfied because I wasn't expecting more. :) It was significantly cheaper then other places in the area and worth the 25ish minute drive to/from Chincoteaque NWR where I planned to spend my day. (even at today's gas prices!)
If you want to "enjoy" your hotel stay, this place might not be for you. But if you're expectations are low and you're on a budget It was comfy.
I never could figure out how to work the TV, but I'll admit, I didn't spend that much time on it. WiFi worked, so I didn't need to figure out the remote (it had 4x as many buttons as I'm used to!).

A real bargain!
We were looking for an inexpensive last minute motel reservation near Chincoteague on the Memorial Day holiday, and we got a reservation at the Travelers Budget Inn Pocomoke. We were not expecting much because we found no online recommendations, good or bad. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this motel seems to have been recently rebuilt and the rooms were very clean and comfortable with great beds, satellite TV, mini-fridge, etc. We will be back!
