We visited Pittsburgh as a get-away and a friend recommended Mansions on Fifth after attending an event there. Entering the front door was like finding an elegant, civil world of the past. The facilities show care and love; the staff are friendly and customer-focused. We appreciated the bar and sitting areas as quiet places for gathering and discussing. The bar offers drink and food options we enjoyed at the end of the day. Our room was quiet, clean, and well appointed.
Walnut street, a 15 minute walk away, offered many eating options. The Airport Flyer bus (route 28X) stops on the corner of Amberson and Fifth next to the hotel. The Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History, and the Phipps Conservatory are a 25-30 minute walk and worth a visit.
