10/10 Exceptional

The family room was on the second floor, at the very end of the hallway, so going back and forth was a bit tiring, but overall the stay was good.

6/10 Good

Good location - shame about the mattress.

The place was very handily located. However, the mattress was thin & left both of us feeling sore after 2 nights. The decor was dated.
Maria, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

There was no hot water in the shower. The overall condition, cleanliness, & service was fine.

4/10 Fair

Poor condition room and fittings, light switch hidden behind wardobe, dirty/dusty, poor communication from staff. Low price, but
1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Had to climb several flights of stairs to get to my room. No lift. Room too small. Shower only had just enough water pressure plus shower base was slippery. Only one socket with a trailing lead. Had to get down on my knees to reach underneath desk to plug anything in. Breakfast unappetising (the sausage looked anemic). Hotel looks nice from the outside but inside it’s in dire need of updating. Parking facilities OK.
Andrew, 2-night trip

Needs updating

It was still dusty. It wasnt bad for 1 night but a longer stay and i wouldnt have stayed. Its very dated. Wasnt that clean. Definitely needs money spending on it.

Good location - unloved property

Whilst the location is handy for the town centre and local family, this is a very tired hotel. The room was dirty - a lot of dust on surfaces and particularly around the TV. In desperate need of decorating - badly patched ceiling paper, lots of chipped paint. We paid for breakfast for the Saturday and had no choice, fatty bacon, undercooked sausage, hard fried eggs and a soggy hash brown. We were told to help ourselves to the continental buffet, which consisted of a plate of what looked like luncheon meat - that was it. No bowls for cereal and had to ask for knives to eat the 'cooked' plate. Glad we didn't book for the Sunday!

8/10 Very good

Staff very good but property a bit dated.
Sean, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was ideal for what I wanted. Short walk to the town centre’s bars and restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the train station. It is a little dated but I was pleased on the whole with my stay.
Mark, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Tired, dated and not clean

Hotel is very dated with no money spent on the place for years. One member of staff was very friendly and helpful, another was the opposite. Definately would not stay again. Owners need to gain a vit of care and attention for their business. Not only was it dated but also not very clean.
Robert, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Room condition was poor, wallpaper was peeling, toilet roll holder was broken toilet seat lid was also broken, carpet was worn in patches, TV was very small, family room twin beds were rock hard
Janice, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Truly awful

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Dirty, badly managed, delapadated, Shower door fractured my toe as it literally fell off, still waiting to speak with the owners. Hotels. Com useless,, pretend to help but don't even keep records of conversations etc.
Karl, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

Disgusting

It was a tip. I kept expecting John Cleese to appear and yell at me. Well that did happen when I went downstairs to ask for a clean towel and explained that my room hadn't been serviced in 2 days. The lady shouted explaining they are only human and can't do everything. Anyway, in 4 days my room was not serviced. Had to ask for toilet paper. The bed had broken springs, it had blood stains on the pillows. The room was freezing cold and couldn't be warmed because the heating just didn't work. The towel hanger was an inch away from the toilet. The bathroom carpet was just disgusting. The breakfast was appalling, hash brown was discoloured, sausage was terrible, the eggs were burned yet still raw in the middle full of slime. They tried to hide it by making it sunnyside "down". Upon asking why my room was never serviced I was told that they had lost the spare keys for my room. I found this funny because I had locked my own room keys in the room and they miraculously got them back for me, despite having apparently lost the other keys. TV channels never worked. Decor and carpets were from the Ark and the curtains couldn't even be hung properly. Advertised restaurant on the website was closed because apparently they had no chefs. Seems this hotel was bought with inheritance or lotto money. Shouldn't be allowed to be open. Bulldozer will do the trick here.
Robert, 4-night trip

Average, but no complaints

No complaints. Decent price and overall a good night’s sleep. Rooms could do with a little bit of an upgrade but for the price they were adequate

2/10 Poor

Broken bed, Ripped Curtains…

Two night stay whilst receiving treatment at nearby hospital - first evening noted the bed was broken and had collapsed in one corner resulting in an uncomfortable nights sleep. Raised issue with hotel and assured that maintenance would rectify, bed still not mended by end of stay. Hotel is in need of a huge clean, decorate and modernisation. Curtains in room we’re ripped and need replacing, sash window frames rotten and won’t stay open, the glass rattling in their rotten frames. Hotel overall in a very sorry state.
Andrew, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It is, what it is

Cheap and cheerful hotel. Was great for work. Not far from the site and a 10 minute walk to Rugby town centre. Hotel is tired and does need a lot of TLC. shower head in room was broken so had to hold it above head when showering. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for anymore off them. They go above and beyond. Just a shame because the site has so much more potential. If working in Rugby again id defiantly stay, but i where to take the misses for the weekend, unfortunately not.
James, 4-night trip

Appalling conditions

Room was freezing when we arrivwd back in evening, had to move wardrobe to adjust the temperature. Door wouldnt lock properly and had to ring a phone number at 2pm ro get jold of someone to check in. Cleaniness was a joke

Good fun in Rugby

Great staff. They try hard. Not everything works as well as it might but they certainly try.

Great location and exceptional service from staff

We checked in to the Grosvenor hotel to attend a function in town. Whilst our room was small there are larger options available. The location was ideal and the staff were exceptional in their service and friendliness.
1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Very dated, peeling wallpaper carpets threadbare need some serious TLC. My room was very dusty, lots of mould in the bathroom for £150 for 2 nights very poor. Breakfast for £9.95 was poor it was very salty.
Sean, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was a satisfactory stay. Could do with up dating here and there. But lovely people. Friendly staff. I would definitely go back although the building could do with a bit of TLC

Ok for a night

Ok for a night but tired hotel. Room basic and bed v uncomfortable. Annoying overflow running 24/7 outside window and had to keep window open as room so hot. Overall def needs some love and care. Travelodge offers better value.
