When I made my reservation, I was NOT told that I would be staying in a different building ACROSS THE STREET AND UP THE WOODEN STAIRS! I’m a 71 yr old woman traveling alone. The MAIN hotel lobby had ice water, cookies, a reading room and sunroom. However, I was across the street and upstairs (no elevator) with sciatic pain from the long drive. The young man, who stayed on his cell phone, opened the door, pointed across the street, and said, “Your room is over there.”
I called the front desk, later, to ask about check out, as I would be leaving early the next morning. I asked if I could leave my key in the room. The same young man replied, “You just come back over here and drop your key in a lock box on the desk. This building is open all night.” When I awoke at 5am, it was very dark, and I didn’t feel safe walking into a building that had been open all night. I hid my key in the room, and called them later in the morning to tell them where it was.
