We were very happy with our stay at Red George Inn. The staff was extremely helpful with providing information on parking and arrival.
The unit was clean and spacious and lived up to the description. With a living room, kitchen area and bedroom and 1&1/2 bathrooms. We slept well and felt secure. There are plenty of restaurants , shopping and sights just outside the door. I would recommend this accommodation and plan to stay again.

All great. Nice location close to downtown, yet still quiet. There's limited parking, but the street parking is open in the evening. Would definitely stay again
There was a slight misunderstanding or malfunction with the key box, which was sorted fairly quickly.

Excellent value for money! Self check-in smooth as silk. The managers very responsive and helpful by phone and text. Convenient parking included. Governor’s Suite is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Has the cozy feel of an old inn amid the excitement of a growing and vibrant downtown Halifax. Will stay again!

Excellent location, great for two individuals, easy parking and ownership team are very helpful.
On top of that it’s half price compared to most hotels.
Highly recommend but only downside is the port operates from 06:00 so if you are an early bird no issues, if you are not take some ear plugs. However, I wouldn’t let this put you off the quality for the price in Halifax and helpful owners make it well worth while.

Fantastic stay at the Red George Inn in their Aft Castle room. Cozy and full of character and complementing the historic charm of the property. It truly feels like stepping into a piece of local heritage while still enjoying all the comforts you need. Communication from the host was excellent from start to finish—clear, friendly, and helpful. A beautiful, thoughtfully run place in an unbeatable location. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The location is close to harbour front, train, grocery, restaurants. The owners are using historic buildings to create comfortable vacation rentals. There is a good coffee place next door, Wired Monk.
We were in a second building with parking which had access from the back of the apartment. When we entered the hallway the cooking smell was almost overwhelming.
Our apartment was mid renovation. The bathroom had holes in the wall, duct tape on shower, damaged/dirty baseboards, unfinished drywall covering holes in the ceiling. This will be corrected shortly. It did have good water pressure.
The apartment had furnishings and art in keeping with the historic age of the building. However some furniture is stained and the kitchen window falls out, as the duct tape holding it in has let go. The kitchen appeared to be well stocked, although we didn't make full use of it.

A wonderful stay at the Red George Inn! The location is unbeatable—right near all the best restaurants and the waterfront. The space is full of character and charm, and the self check-in was incredibly convenient for our late arrival after dinner. It felt great to stay somewhere that felt so local and 100% locally-owned. Excellent value for a quick trip, friendly service, and a truly welcoming place to call home for the night while in the city. Especially loved the exposed beams in the traditional dormer overlooking the lieutenant Governors mansion. Extra special for myself as my grandfather was once the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, so it was really cool to stay in a room overlooking his former residence. Highly recommend!

Room was relatively small. Bathroom was clean and appealing except for some dust around the mirror casing. Rug in room appeared relatively clean except for some dirt around the door entry. Mouse traps were probably necessary but a bit unnerving! Self check in and check out was a surprise. Cold night so room was cold upon arrival and took some time to heat up especially the furniture. Pros: downtown location, free parking, microwave, kettle, drip coffee maker, toaster, glasses and cups in the room. I would give it a 3.5 rating if I could.

I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, but this experience truly set a new bar.
Space: The room was modern, clean, and very spacious. Larger than most city hotels I’ve stayed in.
The room felt more like a modern condo than a standard hotel room.
Location: It is extremely central and just a short, easy walk to both the train/bus stations and the downtown core.
Check-in: The self-check-in instructions were detailed and made the arrival completely stress-free.
Amenities: The bed was incredibly comfortable. The plentiful small appliances and a surprise of snacks that was such a thoughtful touch.
Service That Goes Above and Beyond:
The staff here are the real stars. They are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to ensure I was happy, taking the time to ask and listen to my feedback with a level of care you don't see often.
I actually left a pair of pants behind after checking out. Most places would just toss them, but the staff took the initiative to call me immediately to let me know. That kind of integrity and attention to detail is hard to find!
I highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm in Halifax.
