Lovely main inn building with beautiful furnishings and a wonderful breakfast, coffee, tea and beverages and treats. We stayed in the "Cottage" out back and our room was spacious and comfortable. Fireplace, sitting area with tv...It was a quiet and peaceful space. Large hot tub in our room was very nice.

Our (my husband and I) stay at the Sand Bar Cottage Inn was truly awesome. The property itself was so charming. Our room was in a separate building and was spacious and comfortable. It was very quiet. Our daily breakfasts were so delicious -- one option was savory - like a sausage frittata and the other sweet - like banana foster pancakes. Truly, the breakfast was a highlight of our day. The location could not have been better. Just a quick walk to main street and the harbor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when our plans bring us back to Bar Harbor.

Chris and the staff were excellent: professional yet friendly and very helpful. Breakfast: delicious, made to order, generous portion. Snacks, tea and coffee: they are very generous with food all day. Room: we chose room 7. It might be smaller than other rooms in the house, but we love the quirkiness of the room. Typical NE room, small space, but full of cool nooks and cranies. Full of amenities in the room and bathroom. Love the sitting. Walking distance: a 5-7 walk to the water, park, and restaurants. There's a nice path along the water, great stroll. Great view of the different islands.
