The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!

Wonderful historic property that has been updated and has both warmth and style. The staff pampered my family and introduced us to Ecuadorian new year traditions on the rooftop terrace with the other guests that was a memorable and unexpected way to ring in the new year. This is a beautiful and historic hotel in the heart of downtown Quito. The staff was incredibly accommodating and made the entire experience elegant. It is on the Plaza San Francisco and is next to a beautiful cathedral. Just take into account extra time to get into and out of the area by car as the streets are very narrow and usually congested. Loved the property and would definitely come back. The best and most beautiful hotel in Quito!
