Great place to stay

A real gem of a place to stay. Slightly out of the main hustle of Rome but super easy to get around via public transport. Residential neighbourhood with good restaurant choices and the market next door is incredible! Super clean, good bed, great shower and complimentary (good) coffee and chilled water made for a welcoming and comfortable stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

It’s more like Airbnb than Hotels and they have the system which you have to use code to get in and I was there for 5 day’s and they couldn’t solve the problem.

Great stay.

Took city train from airport. When we got off city train it was hard to find the bus we needed to get on to to go to the hotel so we took a cab. Cost about 11 euro. Instruction that I got through Watsup from hotel was very clear (make sure you download Watsup app. Most hotel if not all in Europe is the way they will communicate with you) Hotel was great. Easy access to restaurants and bars. It also behind a pharmacy and grocery store. About 30 min walk to the colosseum. Room was clean and cozy. Bathroom is clean decent. Fairly new. Staff was amazing. Very helpful.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado en un barrio muy agradable de Roma. La habitación estaba limpia el único detalle es que no servía el aire acondicionado y la habitación no se podía ventilar ya que si se abren las ventanas del balcón entra ruido y luz por unas cortinas de metal que tienen. Fuimos al front desk y nos dieron un ventilador el cual al parecer tenía polvo por dentro porque soltaba polvo. Al comentar al hotel mencionan que el aire acondicionado es central y ya habían cambiado de aire acondicionado a calefacción por la temporada. Esto es algo que nunca había pasado que no tenga el huésped opción de regular la temperatura por lo que pasamos muy mala noche.

The staff is super friendly. The neoghborhood is amazing. There is a great community feeling here and all the restaurants are delicious and fun people. I love a firm mattress and I was not disappointed, I had the best night sleep. Rome is a great place to visit.

We loved that this property was less than one block from Testaccio Market, where we ate several meals and did some shopping. It was modern, comfortable, and near several bus lines. We liked the fact that Testaccio is still primarily a residential area, because we didn't want to be in a big tourist area.

Unfortunately we did not have the best of experiences. We understand this was due to Expedia not following proper marketing ethics however nothing was able to be done by the hotel as well. When we booked I picked a room that’s said King size bed room. The picture showed a normal room with a normal bathroom. So I selected it and paid for it. Upon arrive we found out that the washroom we got was an accessibility washroom and it was not fun to use. We were told to read the description of the room selection where it states that it’s an accessibility washroom however it doesn’t change the fact that Expedia used normal room pictures for that room selection. It’s a way to trick customers and then they have a no cancellation or change policy for our reservation. Expedia’s customer service was horrible and the hotel was not able to make any changes for our stay. We tried calling Expedia’s 24 hour customer service line and it kept hanging up when we tried to pick one of the many options. The hotel also tried to charge us for breakfast we never had. Overall the hotel quality was good however be wary when booking through Expedia as they will often not show exact pictures for the rooms.

Eine tolle Unterkunft, nicht weit vom Zentrum Roms in ruhiger Lage. Das Hotel ist gut angebunden, es fahren mehrere Busse in der Nähe. Sehr freundliches Personal, immer hilfreich bei Anliegen und Fragen, ein Zimmertausch war problemlos möglich (von Terasse zu Balkon). Zimmer sauber, modern und ansprechend ei gerichtet. Frühstück ausreichend und lecker. Rund um die Uhr Kaffee und Wasser verfügbar.

We loved our stay at Sonder Testaccio - the location is a bit out of the core of Rome, however this is exactly what we were looking for and to get away from the hustle/bustle and tourists. We were pleasantly surprised to find many locals at the nearby restaurants - our favourite being "Pecorino", just across the street. Honestly some of the best food we had in Rome! The room itself was very spacious per North American standards. It was really nice to have a king size bed and plenty of space for our luggage (something you don't usually get in European hotels). The water station/coffee amenities were also really appreciated (*note* you have to pay for water absolutely everywhere in Italy). The staff was also very friendly and accomodating - especially during our unusual 3am checkout time! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
