I don’t usually write poor reviews but first impressions of this motel was the smell of stale cigarettes at the dim, dingy cluttered reception (booked over the internet). The building was in great need of repair with unfinished patches of walls and ceilings and was noisy. Despite this, the receptionist was friendly, shower was great and check in was easy.

Nice staff, not family friendly.

Staff were friendly, but this is not a family friendly property. The flimsiness of the walls and window seals allows the smoking outside the adjacent rooms to seep into all rooms freely and the smell of a joint being smoked through the vent when I went to shower was so off putting. We could didn’t feel safe as a mum and teenage daughter leaving the property after dark due to the flickering lights, poorly lit stairways and the overflowing rubbish and discarded furniture around the property. Doesn’t need to be perfect, but an overhaul could make it feel somewhat safer and appealing.

I liked nothing about the room. The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, it was disgusting! The only place to sit and watch the tv was on the bed. The bed was on castors on a lino floor with no bed head. When you sat on the bed and leaned back against the wall the bed rolled away from under you. I’d been driving all day both of the things I mentioned only made relaxing non existent. I had planned to leave at seton the morning, I woke up at 3 am, the stink was so bad that I left shortly after. I won’t be back!
