We stayed at St John’s Lodge for 3 nights and had a lovely stop. The location is excellent as you’re in between Bowness & Windermere with plenty of options of evening meals and Rich is very knowledgeable to provide you with recommendations. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was, well… WOW! Incredible selection to choose from and incredibly delicious. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. The off site spa and pool was brilliant too, we were lucky that we had the pool to ourselves the entire time we was there!

Our stay couldn’t have been better. Right from arrival, we felt relaxed and welcomed, which set the tone for the entire visit. The level of hospitality was outstanding — Rich truly made a difference and went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. The accommodation was impeccably clean and very well cared for; it’s obvious a lot of thought and pride goes into maintaining the space. We also really appreciated the breakfast option — the quality was excellent and a great way to start the day. If you’re planning a trip to the Lake, this is without a doubt the place to stay. We’ll be returning here every time we’re in the area and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

This was our 3rd stay at St John's Lodge and yet again it did not disappoint. Great location, great room (which was upgraded when we arrived, a welcome surprise), great breakfast and amazing service from the Hosts Rich & Ada. Having free access to the Local health club and spa is another fantastic bonus, popping in after a hike to utilise the jacuzzi is great! We couldn't ask for more from St John's Lodge, Rich and Ada are excellent hosts and couldn't do more for us. We hope to return again next year! Thanks again! Nat & Pete
