Loved the 1960’s design. Rooms were gorgeous although we were in Room 133, and we could hear what I thought was the pool pump all night which broke our peaceful sleep. The lakeside setting is wonderful watching all the birds fly in at sunset. Overall wonderful stay and I’d definitely stay again.

About 30 minutes by taxi from the airport. The pool is amazing. The room is a bit worn, but the overall experience made up for it — the restaurant is a gem. It offers lots of food options and a peaceful atmosphere with views of the garden and lagoon. The pool is also very beautiful and well-maintained. The property is quiet and serene. The staff are polite and helpful. The luxury room has the bathroom “outside”, so you battle insects, especially mosquitoes when using toilet, showering etc. I even had 2 small frogs living in the shower drain! Restaurant service is slow but food, generally speaking, was nice, albeit, a little overpriced. Other than dining, services like spa, taxi etc are quoted in USD at very expensive rates. I find this practice annoying. The location is a little remote compared to central Negombo so getting an Uber etc can be difficult. Nothing within walking distance. Dark arrow roads mean the journey at night can be daunting. As a business traveler, it was a poor choice for me. Wifi in resort is unstable and weak signal. Luckily the manager helped by installing dedicated router in my room. Room has no TV.

This is a reasonably comfortable hotel remotelt located on the lagoon with very limited facilities in the neighbourhood The proerty benefits from a 100metre swimming pool - reputedly the longest in Sri Lanka; The gymnasium is one of the tiredest I have seen in a long time Really nice Sri Lankan food from the restaurants
