We loved our stay here. It was close to the city center and had a bus stop right out front that made it easy to get anywhere we needed. Several shops and food options near by. Vivienne was amazing and was great with giving us suggestions and recommendations for places to go and things to do. Breakfast was offered in the morning it was great. Would def recommend and would absolutely stay here again. Thanks again

A fabulous stay in this lovely B&B. The host was warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Was happy to help with buses, places to visit and eat. Location was great for exploring Edinburgh.

Very, very friendly hostess - Vivianne! Great breakfast, everything you could ask for (except for hot food). Great fruit, bread, eggs, sweet rolls, juices yoghurt, et.c. Very personal and informative. Rooms are a little small (not uncommon). Very clean. The only negative is the location even though the bus runs just outside and comes often. (A little bit too far to walk if you wanna walk back and forth one/twice a day). But again, easy with the bus. I would definitely go back, thank you Vivs!!! <3 /The Swedes

This is a beautiful guest house well driven by Vivienne, her nice owner :) Hurry to book your visit of the Castle ... additionnally, Holyrood Palace is also a must see. Take Lothian day tickets. On our side, we used the Moon app. to have a taxi to and from the airport.

I cannot say enough nice things about Vivienne and her wonderful guest house. The bedrooms are terrific, as are the breakfasts and the hospitality. You'll want for nothing -- she's already considered what you need. There's a reason this place has such high marks -- Vivienne. We had an issue that required a lot of special attention, and she was brilliant. She's running a first-class establishment, and she is hard-wired to be a guest house owner. We had such a wonderful stay at Sheerwood Guesthouse in Edinburgh. The room was small but very cozy, spotlessly clean, and so thoughtfully equipped — even with water and snacks waiting for us. Breakfast was a lovely continental spread, fresh and plentiful. Vivienne was a fantastic host, welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even more special. The atmosphere of the guesthouse reminded me of one of those perfect hotels in an Agatha Christie novel — except without the horror and murder, of course! Both the room and the guesthouse overall felt carefully designed and exceptionally well equipped. I would happily come back again and again. Great carpet floor!

Lovely rooms, great carpet floor. Could easily lie completely flat on that one. Nice and easy high quality breakfast. High ceilings. Small bathroom, but nice and modern. Housekeeping was good.
