Excellent location, staff amazing

Beautiful building, but a bit tired, could do with updating. Excellent location, lovely surroundings. Ample parking. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and served with a smile. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Carole, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The only downside to the stay was the shower. It was almost impossible to regulate the temperature and never able to get anything other than a lukewarm shower. It needs replaced with a modern shower. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful

Fabulous

Superb as always frequent re-visitor, beautiful location on banks of the Tweed an abundance of wildlife just from the bench overlooking the river. Food very good top marks to new chef. Stayed in suite 316 as always spot on … we like it that much we married here 10 years ago and that was a superb day as well.

10/10 Exceptional

A really nice hotel. We enjoyed our short stay. The room was spacious, clean and had good facilities. My only slight issue was that breakfast was a buffet. I prefer breakfast to be cooked to order.
Ian, 1-night trip

Great stay on the 4 abbeys cycle route

Room was really spacious and quiet, with an enormous comfy bed. Good selection of teas in the room. Bicycles were locked away. Really good selection for cooked breakfast. The only thing we didn't like was that the shower was in the bath but this didn't detract from the rest of the stay and we would definitely stay here again.
Claire, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Enjoyed the stay. Very tranquil surroundings, quite remote but only a short drive to several places of interest. Liked walking down to the river before breakfast
Bruce, 2-night trip

The property is in a lovely location and is a bit tired. The evening meals were good.
Louise, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Went for a one night stay. Hotel looks impressive but a bit tired inside. Staff were pleasant but could be a bit more friendly. They were young so perhaps just need some time.
1-night trip

6/10 Good

OK, but....

Reasonably good. Staff helpful. No towels in room to begin with. Shower in room 209 very difficult to control so gave in and had a bath instead! Breakfast reasonable but many of the items were from tins or the freezer.
John, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Lovely location and very helpful staff. The rooms were large and comfortable but perhaps a little dated for some people.plenty of hot water and a good shower. The food is very enjoyable and a good ammount to.chhose from for breakfast. We will return when next working in the area. We have stayed on 2 occasions and find the hotel ideal for our needs.
Tracey, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very good value, all good nothing bad to say
Martin William, 1-night trip

The beautiful surroundings

Overall the stay was good. Room was a bit cold early evening, but our overnight sleep was too hot as the quilt tended to cocoon our body. The surrounding areas were excellent for walks and not to mention the food as it was beautiful
STUART, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We have been here several times over the years and have had fabulous stays. This time was no exception; just fabulous.
