Hotel is quite dated, but has been well preserved!! It is kept up very well. The restaurant is very nice with reasonable pricing and a fair amount of selections. The morning was missing eggs during my stay. That is a staple for me. So I chose not to spend the buffet price for mostly things I preferred it to have. Would be nice to see the hotel incest in some upgrades to keep it self appealing. An enclosed/ heated pool would be wonderful. Also more entertainment /media choices for the rooms. Providing hdmi inputs or airplay devices for those bringing their own media to link into the hotels tv’s would also be nice. These type things would take the then quality of stay up another level. Not a bad stay at all, but could easily take it to the next level. FYI: the pricing was great!!

Needs a refurb

Hadn't stayed there for years so it was a bit of a surprise to see how it's aged. The rooms are quite dark and no Aircon. Rooms on the road side are traffic noisy so beware. Beds are comfy. The food is pretty good and the staff helpful and it's catering more for the regularly tradies who stay there than holiday travellers

A great option in Whangarei as it is not in the centre of town although it's very close to the Town Basin. Surrounded by lots of lawn and trees. Great service and a reasonable restaurant. Comfortable room and a good shower.
