Disappointing stay

Our room was in the annexe block. For the amount we paid, we expected more comfort. The decor was shabby, there was no seating in the room for 2 people and not warm enough to sit outside on decking- basically room too small for two people with little space for moving around comfortably. There were insufficient plugs eg for hair dryer in front of mirror. The shower curtain had mould on. We have visited the Cooden Beach for meals many times over the last 30 years so it was a real shame to be disappointed by our stay. Fortunately our evening meal and breakfast were excellent

Still a nice hotel, but I would avoid rooms at the back, as yesterday, people were running around on the flat roof outside rooms last night. It might have been the one and only time this has happened, but a guests privacy, safety and security is paramount.

A lovely little hideaway hotel

We loved this hotel - so quiet and tucked away on the corner of the beach - just what we needed to escape from our busy lives. Unfortuntaley a major refurbishment programme was underway so this wasn't the best time to stay as the workmen stareted at 9am each morning! Was aso a little disappointed that the hotel hosted a private event on Saturday evening which meant that guests were denied access to the best parts of the hotel. They gave a few days notice but still seemed a bit off. Overall a lovely hotel in a nice quiet location.
