Location is amazing, right in the heart of major shopping district and major tourist attractions. However, we noticed the Hotel cleaning staff were not that great they used to not clean or replace our coffee mugs and plates. Had to purchase our own dishwasher liquid to clean our plates and mugs that was little unexpected from a hotel.

Great location

Around the corner from the diagonal metro station. Beautiful tree-lines street. Easy walking to restaurants (one connected on street level is very good). Extremely spacious. Air conditioning took time to catch up to our American sentiments but we borrowed a couple of fans from the staff and were quite comfortable in the heat of a Barcelona summer. Would recommend.

Sad that this hotel says it’s air conditioned when it’s simply not an effective system for the summer months in Barcelona. The only reason I booked this hotel was because it said it had a/c, it does, it’s just very weak and ineffective. They also accepted our booking when they didn’t have the room we requested until the 2nd day.

Absolutely excellent location! Super helpful staff who gave great recommendations on where to eat. The room was comfortable for a family of four. Shower is one of those small corner showers that you see through Europe…that was unfortunate. Beds were very comfy and air conditioner worked great and was very refreshing after a day of sightseeing in the hot sun.

The hotel has a lot of potential with its lovely setting and perfect location in Exiample. Within a few feet from the metro, but our stay didn’t quite meet expectations. The room was quite small, the layout was awkward, and the AC wasn’t working well our first night. There were no tissues or any extra toiletries aside from toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner. There was no cabinets or closet space to put our things. Staff was courteous and they did move us to another room with a balcony and better layout (more like the advertised pictures) with better AC (still no closets) Our experience could be improved with more attention to detail. The location is 5 stars, truly beautiful, centralized, and safe!

Overrated hotel not deserving social media praise

The location of the hotel is very good. The rooms are kept clean. BUT we were welcomed in a very odd way. The receptionist was quite unfriendly.the room was very very basic although we booked the largest room possible since we are a family of four. The disaster was the shower since the ceiling was mouldy. The smell was awful. We stayed max 1 minute in shower. It was quite uncomfortable! I think one can only enjoy the hotel if they are looking for low budget hotel that can be visited only for night sleep.

Hotel Limonaia - Barcelona - Work and Play - Feb.

They hotel was very helpful with our stay. The hotel did a great job communicating with use prior to our stay. Great location. Was able to do some general shopping in the area for small things we needed during our stay. Close enough but not too close for the touristy stuff. I booked two rooms for the week. My room had the enclosed balcony which was cool. Nice private outdoor area on the second floor to enjoy reading and enjoying goodies from the local bakeries. If you are used to city adventures on a reasonable budget, you should enjoy your stay here.

We were fortunate to get the attic room which was top floor and had views of the Pedrera. Unbelievable value for what we paid. Room was massive and clean. It’s central to everything as well. I would be careful with young children as the windows in our room opened completely and there’s no flyscreen or fall protection. Also it was pretty warm in our room which was fine for winter but I would be nervous staying there in the warmer months. We will return to Barcelona and will definitely stay there again.

Ok

This place is less of a boutique hotel and more of a glorified hostel. The best thing it has going for it is the location. Staff was fine but barely spoke to us or even looked up when we passed them. One morning there was no hot water. The staff didn’t really apologize but said they’d call a technician. It was clean but fairly run-down.
