It is really outstanding all the way except there was not really onsite dining. However, there was an amazingly delicious coffee cake that we enjoyed throughout our stay. The cottage was cozy and welcoming. My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our getaway there.

This is a fantastic home in a perfect location for shopping and dining on Main Street. Having 3 bathrooms with girls getting ready is a plus! Plenty space inside and out to relax. I can't even begin to explain how accommodating the owners are. We had an unexpected family event that required special handling last minute. It was handled with a personal touch that we truly appreciated. We will definitely rent from this owner again!

Christmas in a Snow Globe

Our holiday stay at 202 Main was magical. The lovely house is in the perfect location, within walking distance to all that Main Street offers. The home and the town were festively lit up for Christmas! Twinkle lights & Christmas trees everywhere. 202 House & Fredericksburg know how to do Christmas. It was just like Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls....a town in a snow globe. Bobbie & Judy decorate the home with a fully lit tree and decorations all around. Lovely danish pastries were left for us to enjoy, and a fabulous enormous homemade rum cake was brought by later. Cute craft root beer bottles were also left, decorated to look like Santa's reindeer. The bedrooms were also decorated for Christmas, with stockings hung on the very comfy beds. We enjoyed making our holiday meal in the ample kitchen, and also sitting on the swing in the front yard. We even made an outdoor chiminea fire in the cute back yard porch sitting area. The shops in town had fabulous sales going on- our favs are Henfeathers, Blumenhandler Florist, the Peach Tree Tea Room Gift Gallery & The Christmas Store. We enjoyed breakfasts at the Old German Bakery, lunch at Jennie's Smoked Burgers, the Peach Tree Tea Room, Pasta Bella and dinner at the Cabernet Grill. Coffee at Ranch Road Roasters (open Thurs-Sun) is personally made to your specs. A spa treatment at the Herb Farm Spa is a very enjoyable experience. However, my husband, son-in-law & daughter kept saying that the 202 Main house was the best part of the stay. Thanks, Judy and Bobbie, for making our Christmas extra special!

My sisters and I had a wonderful weekend in Fredericksburg! Our Cottage was so cute, clean and perfect for the location (1 blk. off Main St). The cookies were very good and they provided some gluten free cookies for one of my sister's who has celiac disease. The owners were helpful and kind! Will book there again!!!

The BEST Slumber Party for 3

This was the cutest little cottage for a slumber party for 3 people. Three twin beds so you don't have to share a bed! A bathroom and a little microwave, minifridge, and coffee pot! They even left us a delicious danish from a local bakery. It's walking distance to downtown but still quiet and quaint. Loved this place and will stay again.

Girls Weekend - Absolutely Fabulous

We just got back from a Girls Weekend/Birthday Celebration this past Sunday (June 5th). This was our first time staying at 202 Main and we have an amazing time! The home is clean, inviting and such a joy to stay in. Located just a block off Main, it is close to anything and everything you might want to do (shopping, eating and wine tasting)! We couldn't be more pleased with how our weekend turned out. We had 6 in our group and the home was perfectly suited for us. Nice large kitchen, open and airy dining room and living room - it was perfect for our game nights! Every bedroom has it's own bath, which makes it very convenient with a house full of ladies! We had no problems at all. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in town. It is perfect! We also were celebrating a couple of birthdays, the owners had a birthday cake with candles under a pretty cake stand waiting for us on the dining room table. Such a sweet and personal touch to start out our stay.

Always perfect!

My family of 9 to 11 women have returned to 202 and Cottage for years because of many things. It is very nicely decorated! Also there is a bathroom for every bedroom, and the kitchen is huge and charming. We set up our makeup mirrors on the island [accommodates at least 5] in the a.m. and have great conversation while drinking coffee. There is always creamer and a bundt cake provided plus other snacks. The cottage also has snack foods, too. The home is spacious as is the cottage. Those who stay in the cottage love it because it is wonderful, too. Parking is plentiful. We love it!!!

Birthday Celebration

We booked this house for a surprise birthday celebration for my oldest sister. The house was perfect! Very large rooms with lots of space for eating, visiting, celebrating and playing games. And the owners had placed a cake on the dining room table for my sister's birthday - what a nice surprise! Delightful stay, close to everything. Would definitely recommend this place and hopefully will be back with girlfriends.

Best Wine Weekend Experience

We just got back form our Wine Weekend and stayed at 202 & Cottage. We had a group of 8 and the house was perfect!! We arrived to a clean and spacious home, with full accommodations for our group. We brought our own food and drinks, but everything else needed was at the house. Huge island in the kitchen for prepping and displaying food, and plenty of space throughout the house. The location is a block away from Main Street and you feel like you are close enough to the action, but far enough away for a good nights sleep! We walked everywhere we needed to go, no need to drive unless you are going to tour the wineries. Bobbie (owner) took excellent care of us, and made sure everything was perfect. We will be back to this house on our annual girls trip!!

The Cottage

Loved the Cottage! It was perfect for three girls and the owners were fantastic! The room was clean, but the shower was super short and I had trouble washing my hair (I'm 5'8). My two friends are both shorter than me and did not have any issues. Also, the TV only got like 3 channels, so it was on TLC all weekend :) It was so close to everything and so homey! Overall, I would definitely stay here again! Please note that there was not any onsite dining, but I had to give a score. They left 3 huge muffins the first day and there was candy, but we did not try any.

Wonderful House!

My family and I (5 of us) stayed for 3 nights in December, just before Christmas. There were so many things I loved about this house - I hope I can remember them all. The Christmas decorations were lovely. The kitchen is quite large with a very nice island. It also had a water cooler with instant hot water, and a small wine fridge which we put to work immediately. The whole house is quite roomy. It was nice lounging in the living room by the fire. Great patio with fire pit behind the house. Comfortable beds, very clean, excellent location. We had a problem with internet and the owners were there in a flash with a new router! Turned out to be a problem with the internet provider but the owners sure did their best. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches like all the soft blankets draped here and there, the basket of sundries left in each of the bathrooms, the cake and 6-pack of reindeer root beer (of course we had to make floats), hot chocolate mix... We all loved staying here!

We were in town to enjoy the Hill Country wineries and this was a great location to get to all and have a comfortable place to start and end our days. The location is convenient to the grocery store and restaurants. We would stay here again.
