Hotel with no character

supposed to be a 5-star resort, but it was a huge letdown. The staff were fine—they are trying their hardest to bring service—but the hotel design and facilities were just plain underwhelming. The room felt basic and lacked any real character, more like a business hotel than a luxury resort. The sauna was closed for maintenance, and the other amenities were equally unimpressive—nothing special, just very ordinary. not at all what you'd expect from a 5-star place. While the location inside Taroko National Park is fantastic, the hotel didn’t match its surroundings at all. The natural beauty outside only made the blandness of the hotel more glaring. It felt completely disconnected from its stunning location—boring and uninspired, offering no experience that felt special or tied to the park itself. Overall, the hotel felt generic and lacked the attention to detail or style you’d expect from a truly high-end resort. What should’ve been a breathtaking getaway turned into a forgettable experience. yet I've only see very poorly designed hotel and the food is also not very interesting.

It was perfect stay in the middle of Taroko National Park. Unfortunately after 2024 earthquake all of the hiking trails remain closed. It would be great to bring it back to operation. Other than that this hotel is a real gem!

Excellent and relaxing stay!

Very relaxing and beautiful stay. All of the staff were wonderful and so helpful. Very family friendly - from the play areas to the pools to meals. Amazing to be able to have the gorge almost to oneself to explore in the morning. Best stay of our 2+ week trip staying in luxury hotels. Wish we had booked a longer trip and we look forward to returning for another relaxing stay!

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Staffs are amazing. The only drawback is the dinner options. There are 2 seating times and you must make reservations. If you don’t they will put you in the waiting list. They won’t just take you in even if there are empty tables. And all 3 restaurants close at 9pm. There isn’t anything opened near by the hotel at that time. So you will only have room service. And room service only open until 10pm. Although it’s inconvenient to our timing during our stay, the foods are pretty good.

The house leaves an ambivalent impression. Overall, the facility is getting old. Everything is worn out. All the wood in the furnishings is battered. The technology itself and the house doesn't seem to have had any renovations in more than forty years. Tiles cracked, windows cracked, carpets dirty. There are also organizational deficiencies. An outdoor swimming pool on the roof of the hotel cannot be used because it is not heated. The indoor pool is large, heated, but very loud. It doesn't look like a hotel, but more like a rehabilitation center. I couldn't sleep that night because the light couldn't be turned off. At 1:00 a.m. a technician helped me and repaired the system.

A great hotel amidst natural beauties of Taroko

A truly great stay at Silk place Taroko: the room with the river view was marvellous, hotel amenities were diverse and excellent, the diner and breakfast buffet were delicious and we had a great time watching the indigenous concert as well as the rooftop movie. A unique experience that is totally worth the price.

第一次入住太魯閣晶英,本次體驗了三種房型 1.雙人行政套房(陽台面中央表演場) 2.四人的一般房型(陽台面中央表演場) 3.四人的面山谷有大景觀窗的房間 整體來說,CP值比較高的個人覺得3的房型不錯,但是之後如果還要去利用的話,比較偏向四人的行政套房 第一天的早晚餐:自助餐廳,補菜速度很快,餐點真心覺得好吃,精緻 第二天的早餐去三樓的休息室吃了中西式各一,有點小後悔,還是應該去自助餐廳才是 第二天的晚餐去了梅園,餐點也好吃
