We had such a great experience at Eco Arenal. We stayed for 5 nights as a family with three kids and it was perfect. The room was very clean, shower was very modern, beds were comfortable, and we never got tired of the many options available at the daily breakfast. The hotel is an oasis, just close enough to bustle of La Fortuna and all the activities but remote enough where you wake up to the sounds of the monkeys and can see plethora of birds flying around.

Loved everything about our stay. The cabin was perfect for Hearing howler monkeys at 4:00am. Birding tour with JP was outstanding. Staff were all helpful. Meals were delicious and loved all the birds at the feeders while we ate breakfast. Missed it the minute we drove away!

The hotel is lovely! Considering it’s a two star hotel - the amenities, breakfast, territory, staff are great. The owner is welcoming and attentive to any requests. We stayed with two kids for five nights. It wasn’t the most comfortable bed. Overall it was a great stay and perfect location away from busy area so you feel in nature, but short drive ( 5 min) to downtown La Fortuna.

Spotless, high-ceiling rooms. I loved the layout of the venue, the gardens and the location- not right downtown. The staff were excellent, especially the front desk/ do it all superstar, didn't get her name but she agreed, Thailand next. At one point I thought some ones dogs were waking me up from a much needed nap however was just the howling monkeys. Highly recommend.

The owner was amazing and takes pride in what she has accomplished with this facility and it shows. Balcony views allowed us to hear and be submerged with nature itself with howler monkeys close enough and can be heard morning and night. The breakfast menu was the same every day, which became repetitive. Housekeeping replaced our towels with ones that had visible stains, which was disappointing. There was no telephone in the room to contact the front desk, and we noticed a few ants in the room. Great place for a few nights in La Fortuna

Great place to stay for a few nights in La Fortuna. Hotel is 3-star, so wasn't expecting the Ritz... rooms were clean, everything worked as advertised, breakfast was good. Location was great - we liked that it wasn't directly downtown (we had a car) so it was nice and quiet. Would stay again if back in La Fortuna.
