Everything fine but the prices of extra services are exorbitant for the level of life /cost of living in Shymkent. 9.000 Tenge for a breakfast per person when in the city two persons can have a breakfast for 6.000 tenge, is really out of the question. Excellent hotel with helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed, and clean. It's located right across from Abaya Park, so that is a nice touch. They also have a fitness room and swimming pool that they are very proud of. Changing money must be done at a bank, so you will need to walk about 5 minutes in the proper direction to do this.

The hotel staff were helpful, the rooms extremely clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was very nicely done as well. You can catch a city bus to the bus station if trying to get to Turkistan by minibus. You can also walk a few blocks to catch a city bus to the airport or one to the main train station in Shymkent. The memorial park is a few blocks away. A gem of a hotel in the city.
