We were made very welcome, our room was lovely and warm (important as it was very cold and frosty), lovely and clean. Bathroom with a bath, but no shower. Large, comfortable bed. Very cosy. Breakfast was great and kept us going on our 10 mile walk that day. We had a lovely evening meal in the pub, which was well cooked and presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice friendly stay while visiting Chiltern Winery

This is a great place to view for a visit Chiltern Winery. Especially if walking - and you can do the hill as all uphill there and all downhill back. Service was so welcoming and food was excellent. One of the best English breakfasts at a hotel ever for me - going on quality. Room was.comfortable and as you would expect from a village pub. Convenient back door so didnt have to walk through pub with bags. Also the host was extremely responsive to questions before the stay.

Little hidden treasure

Absolutely beautiful little place and area. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for you. Very clean, tidy Inn with a beautiful fireplace. The food was amazing! Absolutely delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again! Very dog friendly. Superb!

Would highly recommend

Such a lovely friendly pub. When we arrived we were welcomed by the pub dog, and a very friendly barmaid. We were at a wine tasting tour in chiltern and the staff helped us with directions. The evening meal was of high standard and service. We couldn’t fault it. As was the room and breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here. We even managed a 4 mile walk the next day to see the beautiful surroundings a d wildlife.

Blog from the Frog

WiFi was patchy as was TV reception in Room 1. However we don’t go away to watch TV or be on-line in our hotel room. So not a big issue for us. The staff were welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was good too.
