6/10 Good

Nice, but average stay. Good breakfast!

It was a nice hotel. The shower didn't work in our room, and the hotel staff seemed distant, but the beds were comfortable and it was a great breakfast! Everything was clean and we generally enjoyed our stay. I'll also mention, the neighborhood was fine for me, but my friends felt uncomfortable in the neighborhood as it's on the backstreets of the town.

The hotel is as beautiful as a porcelain tea cup. The rooms, beds and bathrooms are very clean and lovely designed and decorated. The breakfast is very good and the staff are friendly and very helpful. They arranged a tour to the archeological sites that was fantastic. We paid 100 euros for the tour and it was worth every penny.

Excellent customer service as someone stayed late for our 0215 arrival due to travel delays. Comfortable beds with great breakfast options. Great outdoor pool setting but really only midday overhead sun. I would stay here again if in the area.

A great little hotel. We stayed here two nights to visit Ephesus. Actually found the St John’s Basilica better (and less crowded with influencers!). Hotel itself is off the main strip in a residential area so it feels like you’re in the real country rather than tourist-ville. Lovely little pool. Spend an afternoon reading in the courtyard, pure bliss. Good breakfast. Easy walk from the station. Perfect for non-tour trips to Ephesus and other historical places in the area.

Everything was perfect, location, design, facilities, hospitality but a few things would make our stay more comfortable. There was no rubbish bin in the room and there was a small water leak in the bathroom.

Excellent choice if you are looking for tranquility and piece, wonderful courtyard and rooms. Breakfast was fantastic and plenty of choices. Staff is very knowledgeable of the area and very helpful as well. Super close to St. John’s and the Castle, short drive to Meryemana, Artemis and Ephesus. We did a day trip to Miletus under 1 hr. Drive each way. We would highly recommend this hotel. Don’t let what’s around bother you it is safe and friendly.

The Saint John Hotel in Selcuk is a real gem! It is a beautiful boutique hotel, very attractively appointed in the public areas and the rooms. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. This was a true high point in a two-week tour of Turkey.

LOVE this hotel. Omer, the owners’ son was super friendly, helpful and spoke great English. The property and rooms were beautiful with little balconies and gorgeous furniture made by his family. The breakfast was delicious. The pool and courtyard were super cute and so refreshing on hot days. The location is perfect, on a quiet street just off the main road so easy to walk to shops and sites. Will definitely stay here again!!

Lovely hotel. A bit further out than that the other main tourist hotels but worth the extra 5min walk. Good size room and well kept. Balcony view for the outer rooms is a wall but would be quieter than the pool/courtyard facing rooms. Roof terrance was being refit when I stayed but other than that, a very charming hotel. Recommend it if you plan on visiting the area.

Comfortable hotel in middle of town

Comfortable room and good breakfast. No restaurant. Hotel is located on a backstreet but easy walking distance to a street which is full of restaurants. Very nice view of the castle from the road outside. You could walk to the castle and basillica and Ephesus is only a few kilometres away. Selcuk is a pleasant place to stay. Pool is not heated.

Loved this place! Management is EXCELLENT! Run by a family that is friendly and available to help at all hours of the day. Breakfast is DELICIOUS! Lots of choices. Try the chocolate pudding. It was my favorite. We stayed in four different places during our vacation and this was by far the best and also the least expensive.

What can I say about this place? We have never felt so welcomed by the Turkish hospitality as we were here. The service at this hotel is absolutely TOP NOTCH. I don't think we've ever been treated better. The hotel was beautiful and the swimming pool in the courtyard was so pretty. Our room was wonderful and comfortable. We had a small balcony for fresh air and AC as well. The bed was super nice and provided a very good night's rest. Truly the highlight though, was the staff and the people who run this place. From the very start, we were welcomed in and everyone was immediately helpful. Every day at breakfast we were greeted and we chatted about what we'd do that day and were given recommendations. Breakfast, by the way, was another highlight. It was always delicious and there are so many options!! After we came in for the night, they would always ask about our day and how our day was going. I noticed the staff also just casually chatting with guests over tea and asking them questions. It was very sweet and genuine. They are just so kind to every guest. Sidenote: when you first get to the place, the neighborhood looks a little scary, but you quickly learn that this is nothing. The area is safe and we walked around many nights without ever feeling uneasy. We even were welcomed into a neighborhood gathering one night. I have only the highest recommendations for this hotel. We look forward to spending time with you all again! We will be back!
