We had a lovely staff in a really nice hotel - location is great and the room was excellent.

Katrien, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Wonderful location. Room was spacious and very clean and the staff was lovely.
schuyler, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

It was well located and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were pretty basic and what was called air conditioning was really non-existent. It was expensive for what it offered.
Arna, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Found bathroom dirty and the mattress only had 1 sheet and lots stains on it and carpet was filthy staff was lovely but for £400 Was a little disappointing
Daz, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely hotel and great staff
karl, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Paid just under £1000 for 2 nights, Lady at breakfast was friendly, staff at front desk generally indifferent (apart from when we checked in, different man) Room was good but I am unsure whether it’s worth just under £500 per night. Due to the location I would like to stay again but I would value it around 250 / 300 per night as opposed to 475+
Ambrosian, 2-night trip

Caron, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Excellent staff, very swift check-in, even helped carry the baby-stroller to the room. Lovely spacious rooms , surprisingly quiet for it to be facing the busy roads!!! Perfect for family.
Hithashree, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Hotel covered in scaffolding
Kevin, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

In the heart of Cambridge, this is a great hotel - softly comfortable and well-appointed rooms, friendly, cheerful staff and a great breakfast.
James, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room clean and had many extras. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar. Hotel is convenient to everything. Strongly recommend.
Kathy, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely unique with very convenient location. It is a listed building so wear and tear is expected. Scaffolding is up at the moment but didn’t really affect our stay.
Sophie, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely hotel, with lovely staff. Room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so were offered complimentary cocktails, which suited me just fine!
Edward, 1-night trip

John, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel, very much enjoyed our stay in a junior suite, very spacious and lovely roll top bath in the room. Would definitely stay again. No parking but arrangement with another hotel for £30 per night
Cindy, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely hotel. Great central location near all the historic university buildings and corn exchange. Clean, quiet, super friendly and welcoming staff. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
Becky, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

It is cool that this is located in such a historic property, and they have thoughtful touches in the rooms (nice soap, old fashioned bath tubs, good quality water in glass bottles). I left my reservation early because I woke up to little bugs biting me in the bed. I’ve never experienced this before. They assured me that these were not bed bugs but advised that I sterilize my traveling things all the same. The windows do not open (for “safety”) and the air/ac does not work so there was no fresh ventilation in the room. The mattress had also settled like the building and was quite uneven in the places where people tend to sleep.
Caroline, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Really nice room in old building. Bed very comfortable. Staff exceptionally friendly. Breakfast menu had a good choice of options and food was delicious. Would definitely stay again if visiting Cambridge.
Alistair, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Good stay but not worth the money in a deluxe room.
James, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Nice place, probably over priced and place was covered in scaffolding, including our terrace, no warning.
Daniel, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Botique, characterful property. Good room, spacious. Dining was enjoyable. Breakfast is great.
Wayne, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Room was a bit tired and exceptionally dark as there was scaffolding outside the window - a warning would have been appreciated! Otherwise comfortable, nice smellies in the bathroom and plenty of space. Most of the staff could not have been more helpful.
Miranda, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Overall things were ok. The reception area is small and felt disorganised when busy, at times felt like I was an inconvenience to be asking for things - customer service was lacking. The hotel in areas is showing its age, but in the main it met our needs for a short visit. Room itself was comfy, well equipped, clean, everything soft to touch. The air conditioning pretty sure wasn’t working in our room, quite warm, other areas in the hotel were more comfortable to be in and cooler. Breakfast, good range of cooked foods and continental breakfast. Not sure what was going on with the hollandaise sauce with my eggs, more like a bowl of soup with eggs and muffins - very odd. Service was welcoming, full of smiles and all happy to assist. Can’t compare it to other hotels in Cambridge but I think I might try somewhere else on my next visit.
Matthew, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Elegant and chic hotel, bar& bistro

Elegant property with a great bafand Bistro and good menu. I had dinner there and while a little pricey the food was excellent.
